Shark's anger was foul as he stormed out of the inn, his axe ready to cut deep into someone's body. He refrained from doing that though as he stalked out of town. He headed toward the woods, determined to find something alive to cleave in half.

Ivory took a peak through a crack in the door before pulling it open further so she could slip out. She'd snuck on the boat a few weeks ago, a long few weeks ago according to her stiff limbs, and hidden amongst the barrels of food and water. She didn't dare to come out and only ate little the whole ride over. But it was all worth it.
She'd found a trail in Araleun leading to Teutlandt and had grabbed at it, almost tasting the satisfying end of her revenge. She was nearing her eighteenth birthday and wanted to get on with her life, but it was an imposibility until the last man was dead. She'd killed most of them over the seven plus years and knew only of one more. He would die a slow death as the first man she'd killed had, completing the end of her revenge.
Then she would mourn over her family's death correctly. But first, she had one last man to hunt down and slaughter.
She crept on shore and headed for the woods. She'd always felt safer there, having spent the majority of her almost eight years living amongst the trees.

Shark heard a soft crack of a twig on the forest floor and froze, eyes scanning his surroundings to find his hope and dream. He saw nothing and decided to move just a foot or so to get another angle. His footsteps were light despite his size and his blood ran hot in anticipation of a kill.
There!
He forced himself to keep quiet as he came upon his victim until he was only meer feet away. Then he lunged. He swung his heavy axe hard, landing it deep into the waist of his adversary. He watched the female deer's eyes turn hazy as she collapsed in her own pool of blood. It didn't beat watching the emotions flicker through human eyes, but it would hold him back until he found a better target.
He headed back toward civilization. Maybe he'd be able to find someone who required his specialties. If not he could always go after the two assassins. Just the thought of them angered him and with a roar he slammed his axe into the nearest tree. He yanked it out and watched the tree fall with a satisfied sneer on his face before making his way toward town again.

After finding a good place she could call home for the night, she made her way to town. She'd pick up the trail again here, pulling herself closer and closer toward the end of her revenge and the beginning of her new life.
Her steps halted as she came across the smell of fresh blood and she immediately rolled onto the balls of her feet, hand going to her knife, as she scanned the surrounding terrain. Her stomach churned at the sight of the bleeding deer and her heart burned in anger. She'd killed her fair share of animals, but never like this. She killed only what she had to. Swearing to herself that she'd find the man responsible for this vile act, she forced herself to go closer and inspect the crime.
Her throat tightened even as her anger cleared to be replaced by emptiness. The cut had been made with an axe. She knew only because she'd seen more than her fair share of the blade's work.
Mother shoving her to the back bedroom... Screams from her house... Father's - No!
She forced the thoughts from her mind as her breath came in gasps. She leaned against the comfort of a tree to regain it before walking again. She was stronger than that now. The deaths she'd made proved that. She was stronger now. She wouldn't fail them again.

Shark found himself sitting at a table with highback chairs in a room belonging to someone very wealthy indeed. He grinned at his luck of being able to kill two birds with one stone. Not only would he get to kill someone, but he'd also found his next victim to steal from. And what a treasure he'd steal!
The door opened before he could begin to plan just how he'd go about doing that and he turned in his chair to look at whoever entered. The man was fat and short with receding brown hair and pugy eyes. But he had wealth stitched into every inch of his clothing and molded into every piece of jewelry around his body. Yes, he would make him pay a handsome furtune for his expenses.
"You're Shark?"
Gorrik "Shark" Ramels nodded once as his eyes shined with glee.
The man stroked his double chins. "I've heard about you. You're a cold-blooder killer and perfect for what I want. A few friends have been reported dead and I want you to watch my back. You do that and I'll pay you handsomely for it I promise you."
Shark's grin settled slowly over his face. "You've got yourself a deal," he sneered as he fingered his recentally cleaned axe.

Ivory glanced up at the manor under the cover of night and shadows. It'd been easy for her to pull out information from the drunken men at the tavern those few hours ago. She'd made her way to Sir Richardson's home and now studied it, searching for the best way to approach. She made her way around it, noticing all the windows, doors, and guards as she did. There were two at each entrance and there were four of those. All the windows were at least ten feet off the ground and neither had anything beside or beneath it that she could use to climb inside. She pursed her lips at her findings before slipping away.
She'd head to her makeshift home in the woods and wait until the time was right. Then she'd strike hard and fast, but not a death blow. She didn't want him dead...yet.

Two days went without mishap, but Shark wasn't complaining since he was still getting paid. And a hamdsome pay at that. His coward of an employer flinched from every shadow, making Shark seriously doubt his story.
Richardson had told him just last night that he'd been a bandit in his younger days. He'd killed and taken anything and everything he wanted. He was feared in most circles and his name struck fear into everyone's hearts. Then he'd struck gold on a trip and decided to head out west to Teutlandt to make a new place for himself. Here he didn't need to steal for himself, he had other people do it for him.
The last part Shark could believe. The man was filthy rich, with giant emphasis on the 'filthy'.

Ivory's impatience was running out, but she knew she couldn't blow it so close to the end. So she'd focused on looking for the dear killer and had now had a picture of him in her mind. He was typical Skandavian and she'd found him soon enough. But as luck would have it, she couldn't get to him either. Her frustration mounting, she turned her attention back on the layout of the house and came to the conclusion that there was no way she'd be able to get Richardson out. She'd be able to get in, but she'd have to settle for a quick kill and she didn't want that. So she was now right back to waiting for that blasted opening.
And there it was.
Richardson and the Skandavian had just left the manor. She'd seen them from a distance, but neither dared to step outside of the compound. She figured Richardson desperately needed something or they would've stayed put for a very long time.
She waited for them to round a corner before starting off after them. Her heart skipped a beat when she thought she'd lost them, but after scanning the crowd she spotted them taking another turn. Well, the Skandavian was anyways and she figured that the coward would be stick to him like honey.
Lips in a thin line, she kept her distance as she stalked them, her hand rested on the hilt of her knife. She'd picked up another one after being forced to leave her throwing knife embedded in a tree in Araluen. It was strapped to her waist along with the unbalanced knife she know held.

Shark's eyes narrowed as he noticed the same girl for the third time that day. She was a puny thing and he didn't really think of her as a threat, but he wanted to impress Richardson. That and the fact, that he was itching for some action, despite the fact that it was probably nothing but coincedence.
"Don't look, but there's someone following you," Shark half-growled/half-whispered to his employer. And of course, the first thing the idiot was did was look.
Shark grabbed him roughly on the hsoulder and pulled him around the corner of the building before shoving his face close to Richardson's.
"I said don't look."
The coward merely nodded and Shark found himself feeding on his power. Despite that his empolyer had a higher rank (albeit, a stolen one), he was cowering from him.
Shark stuck his head back around the corner and was disappointed when he didn't see her. He scanned the crowd a few more times before turning back to tell Richardson of his findings. He took pleasure in the dropping of the man's jaw as the threat seemed to triple itself in his eyes. An unknown, lease hunter was worse than a known, captured, might-not-be-one.

Ivory hadn't missed Richardson's sharp turning of his chubby face after the Skandavian said something to him. It was time to go, but not leave. She slipped down another alley, having run through town the night before, and made her way to the alley they were in.
Most men that were as strong as that Skandavian weren't that smart, at least, that was usually the case for her encounters. And it was the same for this one she saw as she found their backs to her. She slipped her knife from its sheath and started foward when the Skandavian whipped his head back around. She quickly ducked behind some crates and waited for him to stop speaking before taking a quick peak. He'd turned back around and so she advanced once again.

Shark turned around in time to see her advancing toward him and he yanked Richardson behind him as he removed his axe from his belt. He took two giant steps to close the three yards between them and swung hard, aiming for a single shot kill to impress his employer into paying him more. Or frighten, whichever one worked. Or maybe both.

Ivory ducked beneath the axe and as it crashed into the wall, she came back up and sliced her blade across his shoulder before darting back out of range. He might have the muscle, but she had the speed to stay out of his way. It'd be a long fight, but she didn't doubt she'd come out the vicor. She had stamina and he'd wear out long before her.

Shark roared in anger as she ruined his plans and sought to bring his axe back around, but she was already gone and had left a mark on his shoulder too. His anger increased at the first sight of blood and he advanced with a roar. His axe swept down in a diagonal line from the right, but he didn't complete the swing, cutting it horizontally across the middle.

Ivory simply stepped back from the diagonal slash and ducked when it changed to swing parallel to the ground. She came back up, bringing her knife up toward his stomach, wanting to end this quickly so she could go after Richardson. She noticed the coward out of the corner of her eyes and her need to satisfy her revenge, to bring peace to her family increased.

Shark's anger rose another notch as she dodged yet another blow. He swore in his native tongue as he swung his empty arm in front of him to block the knife swipe to his stomach. He roared with the pain as it entered bone, but he roughly pushed the pain aside and wrapped his hand around her wrist. With another roar, he flung her across his body, sneering as she crashed into the solid wall of stone. He watched her crumble with the same satisfaction before advancing. He swung his axe as he did so, believing that the battle had come to an end.
