Galen and Jock had reached the docks by morn and now sat waiting for a ship to head back into Gallica. Normally Galen would've just chanced trekking through Teutlandt terrain, but the artifact he'd stolen was too great a prize. So they'd steal onto a boat to head home.
They sat in an tavern nearest the docks, each one surveying the crowd for trouble. In this place trouble was certain, and it was also the reason they'd picked it. Had someone come after them in here, it wouldn't take much to get the whole place brawling and then they'd more easily be able to slip out undetected.
Galen had ordered for both of them, but neither had drunken a drop despite their actions of bringing the mugs to their lips. Neither wanted a hazy mind either.

Evan crept in the inn, carefull to keep himself hidden. He spotted the two men and gestured for Nel to follow.
"That's them" Evan whisperd, pointing.

Cutebabys nodded. He saw the gesture, then spotted the two men. "That's them, Evan whispered, pointing. Cutebabys had figured as much. He had seen Evan staring at then for some time and concluded it.

[isn't that his first name? O.o?]
Jock and Galen spotted them at the same time and flicked their eyes to each other in warning. Each rose their mug to their lips in understanding, remaining where they were. They could be wrong, tensing at every shadow, and didn't want to harm an innocent. Though a quick glance around the room made them doubt that anyone here was innocent in any and every way the word could possibily be deciphered.
Galen kept his mug to his lips for a second longer than Jock, warning him to keep an eye on them while he headed outside. Splitting up was always a risky chance, but it was also a sure way to know that their suspicions were correct.
He put a slight stagger in his walk as he made his way to leave the tavern, walking straight past them to see what they were up against. He noted their weapons, but it hardly meant their suspicions were settled. Everyone in here had at least three on them.
The breeze coming in from the sea felt like heaven as it swept across his face. He didn't stop to enjoy it though before sidestepping to place his back against the wall. His hand slipped to his side, gripping his knife. If one of them men they were suspicoius about came out, he'd aim for a kill. If not, he'd just pretend he was taking a breather and head back inside.

Evan saw one of them men they were watching step out the door. Evan knew that they would attack if he came out. So he would have to take the other way around."Wait here" He told Cutebabys.
Evan went up to a band of local thugs, and hissed, "Ranger coming"
The effect was immediate. The whole mob burst out the door with Evan in the center, crouching down to conceal his height. He saw Gregroy in the backround, and, his job done, went back in the inn

Jock didn't like the sudden breakout in the tavern, so he kept to the sides as he slipped out with them. He flicked his eyes around the room as he did so, but though he had his suspicions, he was lacking in the facts department. But he was patient enough to wait for another turn.
He met Galen's gaze as he exited with the crowd, but didn't stop to greet him. They'd meet up at the docks. They still had a good hour before the boat set out, but they'd spend it in hiding rather than risking being caught so close to heading home.

Shark good mood evaporated as he watched the people storm out of the bar. After dealing with that pest of a child, he'd felt well endowed to a good drink. And a little low on money, he had to rely on threatening the customers into more than a little change.
He paused at the door as he squinted at the faces, pretty sure he'd seen a familiar face. He grinned as he noticed his friend and headed over to him.
"Leon. Got change to spare?"

[yeah, there is; but I meant to add something to the post, but wasn't able to because the int. shut off, so is it okay if I them now? I ends the same way, I just kind of extended it because I realized something wasn't going to work, so I figured...so srry to confuse everyoen, but if we can skip cutebabys post after mine for now that'd be great and then come back to it? Or if she can just delete that one and then repost afterwards. Srry again, int. shut off before I was able to change it]
Galen had noticed Shark long before he'd been noticed himself and had purposely stepped out from the throng so he'd be more easily spotted. "Nice to see you again Shark. How's life been treating you?"
He gave a quick glance over his 'friend' and noticed the smear of blood near the wood of the axe along with the bloody bandage on the man's arm.
Only when he pulled his gaze back up did he answer the question. "Sorry, but I'm a little short on change myself these days."

Shark grunted. "Hard times." He scanned the crowd, his lips turning into a frown. "Why's everyone running off in a hurry?"
He didn't like it and he looked expectantly toward Leon. He'd always given him a straight answer and Shark respected him for it. He hated people who beat around the bush and those that did around him, usually didn't live long enough to do anything more.

Galen kept his impatience off his features, well aware what a threat Shark could be. And by the haze in his eyes, he didn't doubt that Shark was a little high on adrenaline and blood lust from his recent kill. Galen only hoped that it'd been quick, though he knew it hadn't. Shark loved dealing in pain, especially if he was the one giving it.
"I'm not sure myself. I came out for a little fresh air and," he shrugged, "next thing I knew the bar was emptying like a hornet's nest." He paused before asking, "So what have you been up to? It's not raiding season for another few months."

Shark grunted, clearly annoyed at the reason he was here. "Myrtle's been nagging me to come back." It was half truth. She had been nagging the hell out of him.
He scowled as he wanted to tell Leon of his real reason here. He wanted to brag to someone, but orders were orders. His scowl turned into a sneer. Screw orders. Master would never know.
"I'm looking for a man by the name of Gregory Wood. Know of him?"

Galen kept his face well masked as he pretended to think before shaking his head. "Sorry, but I haven't. Any description of what he looks like? Or what he does? Why are you looking for him anyways?"

"Naw. I've got nothing but the name. Client never gives me anything but that. It's like he doesn't even know." He scowled at the thought of Master before looking toward the tavern. "You think there's anyone else in there?"
The fight earlier though small, had had his adrenaline pumping and he wanted something in his stomach.

Galen's mind was realing with questions. Why was Shark after him? Who'd hired him? And why?
But experience had taught him the art of patience and he knew that he'd have to wait until he got home to tap his contacts.
"Probably." Most definitely. The two assassins hadn't come out. And who'd hired them? "Was a full house when I was in there."

Shark grunted at the answer before asking, "You heading back in?" His mind clearly wasn't on the answer, but on the people he could get to buy him a few drinks. And then owe him payment for his room at the inn tonight.
After a second, he didn't even bother to wait anymore.
