Dirk Hawkens made his way down the darkened street without much of a destination in mind. The night simply helped him think, relaxed him, and soothed his troubles. He didn’t really know why, but neither did he actually care. If it helped, it helped. If it didn’t, it didn’t. Things were pretty much kind of black and white to him.
Though despite the fact that this was more of a personal walk than anything, he wasn’t unaware of his surroundings. Still, he’d almost missed the form of the body slipping down an alley. The person could move and move quietly and quickly, obviously very skilled.
Curious, since few walked these streets (which was why he was walking them – he liked the quiet), Dirk began to follow, hoping that he wasn’t making much noise. Despite what some people would say, he was a realist and would freely admit his glitches and mistakes.
He untied one of the pouches at his waist as he walked and poured some of its contents in his gloved hand. There was a knife on there too, but he only knew the basics of knife fighting so wasn’t too confident in using it, much rather preferring the belongings in his pouch. Only one of them was actually dangerous, but the rest could very well cause enough panic/harm/confusion for him to get away. He wasn’t really the sort to stick in a fight either, which considering his past, wasn’t that hard to understand why.
