Gender: Male
Profession: Friar
Appearance:
Picno dresses modestly, enveloping himself in the long, flowing white robes that represents his order. The hood over his head shields him from the sun's harsh rays and some of the dust from the road. Because his skin is covered most of the time, his skin has taken on a pale coloring, but not overly so. Picno wears a thin, light brown leather belt around his waist, where he tucks a hardbound volume for safekeeping. Since sandels are not suited to extended time spent walking, Rann sports a pair of boots to protect his feet from stones and the other undesirable side effects of traveling.Personality:
Picno tends to be a little on the quiet side, but not because he has taken a vow of silence. He is still young, and he hopes to achieve great things in his lifetime. Rann has made goals for himself to help better the world. He recognizes the corruption, evil, and hatred and wishes to eliminate these things. Rann intends to seek the assistance of his order in accomplishing these goals. Picno also enjoys nature, particularly animals, whom he feels a special bond with.History:
Picno grew up in Araluen, not far from Caraway. His mother was from Teutlandt, so she taught him quite a few words in the evenings when they had spare time. Picno's strict father ran a tannery and forced young Picno to do most of the tanning against his will. When his mother tried to intervene, Picno's father knocked her unconscious with his empty hand.Additional Information:
When they had a surplus of leather, his father would often craft something out of it. Rann secretly mimicked his parent and hid his creations where they wouldn't be found. At age thirteen, Rann was apprenticed to his patriarch, although he was already doing most of the work. Frequently, his father would leave the tannery to him and head to the nearest bar, where he would rack up a bill larger than the days profit from leather. His parents became frustrated as they began to owe more and more money. Rann's father would beat and whip him until he was black, blue, and bleeding, yelling all the while about not working hard enough.
After his patriarch died of a fever when he was sixteen, Picno said farewell to his mother and set out into the world. He traveled a lot, taking on odd jobs until he was drawn to the order with whom he is now affiliated. Fortunately, most of his scars have healed and he was able to seek out the education that he so desperately wanted as a child.
