Emily examined the figurines, picking one up gently with two fingers. It was one of the Ranger figurines that Marcus had been talking about with the other man. "Maybe Crowley would want one." She muttered, and shook her head.
Putting it down, and dispelling all thoughts of thievery for her mind, she looked at Marcus. "I'm going to go get an apple or something to munch on." She said. "Or if you want to go.....You know...?" She asked uncomfortably. She wasn't used to this and it brought a blush to her cheeks.
"They are very beautiful." She told the other man, she hadn't been listening to their conversation, but had enough since to know the creator. "This one looks like dad." She continued, holding up a figurine of what looked like a soldier. "He always looked like this." She smiled.

"Yeah, we need to get going, Pal," Marcus said to his friend. He made a mental note of the figure Emily had picked out, thinking he might be able to do something nice for her when they got back. "Save one of those for me." he mouthed to the shop owner, making sure Emily didn't see him as she was walking out the door, then he followed her out.
They drew closer to the ship as they walked down the pier. They were close enough now to read the name painted on its brow, Sparrow Wings. "Well, if it is the Krackatowan Razor, they aren't advertising it." Marcus muttered to Emily. "Some of these pirates paint over the ship's name with a false one when they come into port," he explained. He wondered if they also were bold enough to fly a different flag. Representing a country other than the one your ship claimed as home port could land the captain in a world of hurt. Usually the ship was siezed by the country in which the deception was discovered and if it was an enemy country the captain and crew could be charged as spies. At the very least they would likely end up in a work gang indefenitaly if they were caught. The risk of losing one's ship was normally enough to keep most smugglers from trying it. Most, but not all.
He studied the ship as they approached. The crew was just starting to offload cargo. The crates and barrels were sealed and marked in some strange language Marcus didn't recognize. It could have been Arridi or perhaps from even further east like Nihon Ja. The letters looked like hash marks and crosses and they ran up and down rather than across. "That cargo has come from very far away," he commented softly. "Let's wait here at this fabric vendor and pretend we are shopping. Maybe the captain will come out and we can see if he fits Tony the Razor's description," suggested Marcus.

Emily nodded. She looked at the fabrics, but watched the crew of the ship out of the corner of her eye. "Why don't I go take a look?" She asked Marcus, quietly. "I could slip in and take a closer look, and be right back."
She paused rubbing a piece of fabric between her fingers. The sky blue piece was soft to the touch and she smiled slightly. Going back to the matter at hand, she glanced at Marcus. "And before you say 'no,' that was the best thought I've heard al day, and we really need to find you-know-who." She said, ignoring the curious look the fabric owner gave them.
Taking her glance off of Marcus, she let her eyes wander to the crew. They didn't look impressive, at least, to her, but she guessed that the captain would look better. She shook her head like she didn't like the fabric and turned around, keeping her eyes off of the crew. Looking around she headed in the direction of the ship, making sure that it looked like her attention was elsewhere-namely her purse in one of her pockets.
Remembering what Marcus had said earlier, she checked her pockets for her purse. She smiled when she found it, safely tucked in her front pocket.

Marcus considered her request for a moment and then nodded, "Okay, but be careful," he cautioned. "I will come charging in if it looks like you are in trouble."
He watched her approach the ship and then looked around for some way to cause a diversion, should one be needed if Emily ran into a little snag in her plan. He considered a fire, but discarded that idea very quickly as a stupid one.
Upon seeing two dock workers arguing over a small space in which to off-load ship's merchandis, and idea formed in his head. He could cause them to fight which ought to provide a decent diversion for Emily should she need it. He hoped she wasn't going to need it, but it was always best to be prepared.
He turned back to watch Emily's progress and wondered exactly what she had in mind. Hopefully she wouldn't just go up and blert out they were looking for the Razor. He leaned against a pile of flour sacks nonchalantly and observed the people on the pier while he waited.

Emily watched the crew carefully. She wondered who the Caption was, and if this crew was the one they were looking for.
"I will come charging in if it looks like your in trouble." Marcus's warning went from one side of her head to the other, and she shook her head to dispel the thought. "Of course you will," She muttered and then moved closer to the ship.
"Excuse me?" She asked a sailor. "I'm looking for the caption, and I'm hoping you could lead me to him?" She had plastered on her best innocent face and waited for his answer.
