Armored Combat - Advanced Round Seven and final match
Henry Dell Advanced Category round 7 longsword and shield Skill level: 16 Armor: Full Armor (-6 from your roll) Shield: yes (minus 4 from your roll)
Henry stayed in the ring to await Omen after the fight with Heath was over. He was breathing a bit hard. Omen had beaten him twice already. Now he'd had a chance to rest while Henry had fought Heath. Henry thought that might give him a slight edge in this, the final battle for the Advanced category.
Even so, Henry was not going to give the win to him on a silver platter. He would go down fighting and who knows? Maybe if he won this match by some chance, he could actually pull off a miracle and win another against Omen, tieing it all up. It wasn't likely, but anything was possible.
In order to win the tournament, Henry would have to defeat Omen three times in a row. The odds of that were pretty darn slim, he thought grimly as he nodded to Omen. "You're looking a bit rested after that last trouncing you gave me." Henry said jovially, looking as tired as he felt, he was pretty sure. His arms felt like lead as he readied his shield and rested his sword on his shoulder. The shield offered protection, but it wore him out and he considered ditching it for a moment, then decided he needed all the help he could get against Omen.
The marshals were relentless, wanting to finish up before the sun went down and the horn went off. Henry attacked.
11 Neck (light damage – flesh wound, bruise, partial choking)

Omensinger Advanced rapier and Maine gauche Skill level 19 Armor: moderate (hard leather jupon, greives & gauntlets as well as a hard leather gorget) -4 fighting Florentine (no shield dif)
Omen chuckled and was about to make a clever reply about the weight of a rapier and main gauche as opposed to a longsword and shield, but he never got the chance as the horn sounded and they both fell to.
Omen rolls: 5 Left leg (light damage – flesh wound, bruise)
5+19=24-6=18
Heny 1- Omen 0

The Marshal stops them from leaving the field. "Don't go anywhere you two. Henry must defeat you again in order to win the tourney. You may lay-on when ready."
Henry sighs and puts his helmet back on. "I was only faking that last win." He jokes. "But seeing as how you trounced me twice already, well perhaps I can return the favor." He grins tiredly.
The horn sounds again and he comes on swinging, hoping Omen really is as tired as he looks.

Omen has had about enough of this but his type of fighting rarely ever calls on quite as mutch stamina and fortitude. It is a good thing he is in such good condition.
He rolls: 2 Miss (no damage inflicted)
