(Fall year 656)
Mark was finishing up the last order that his master had given him for the day, and he was ready to bolt. It was one of those rare days in Northgate where the sun actually showed. He had plans to take full advantage of everything available to him. There were only a few hours left of sunlight but it was enough time to geet into some mischief. Ten minutes later he had finished repairing a set of old horeshoes and not to pat himself on the back, but it looked good. "I'm gone master!" he yelled as he was walking out. It was then when he realized how warm the smithy was compared to outside. He knew where to go though, for the tavern was always the place to be. He entered and a chorus of "Hey Mark's" greeted him. He looked for a friendly face when he saw an unusual character sitting in the corner. Mark had to figure out who this was.

He looked for a friendly face when he saw an unusual character sitting in the corner. Mark had to figure out who this was.
It was the Tinker that had shown up in Marks Smithy a few months back. He sat in the corner table and was dressed much as he had been before.
Yule waved to the young blacksmith,
"Hey! Yo! Mark come have a seat over here! He called over the murmer of the crowded room."
"Alekeep! Bring me another and one for my young freind!" Then Yule turned to Mark and said,
"Well young man how have you been? Your master working you hard still? I remember when I last saw you a few months ago you were repairing that fine strapping knight's armore, the one with the big Black horse and the crossbow."
The Innkeeper came over and gave the two men stiens of foamy ale that were rather full and dripped down the sides like soup bubbles.
Thank you good Sir and he paid for the drinks then he lifted his stien and offered a toast.
"To the sound of the hammer and it's clink, clink, clinking! Brings food and coin and is good to my thinking!"
Then he downed half of the beverage and came up to wipe the suds off his long white mustache and beard.
