NOTE: Your character may petition any of the following groups or guilds for membership. To do so, post a request on the “Arrangements” board under the “Characters” board. You may do this as an out of character post, or you may role-play it. Do not have your character be a part of any of these groups until the controlling member has approved your character’s membership into the group. The Araluan Guard, or the Guard as it is commonly known, was comprised of 500 men and women of various experience and age, who had different skills with weapons and all of whom could ride. By order of the King, Ryan became the first Captain of the Guard, and Fisk, his field commander.

The Assassin’s Guild

The Assassin's Guild is a guild meant for assassin characters where they can get assignments from the Guild master and interact with other assassins. It was created by Evan (Evanm7) who is the current Guild master . Members of the guild are recognized by a Yabree symbol (see below) in various metals, the more precious the metal, the higher the rank. The ranks are decided by number of kills. The Guild master determines who has the highest ranks.
Evanm7 is currently inactive. Send a PM to a staff member if you would like your character to join this guild.

This is a secret group of people that are outcasts of society that have banded together to accomplish certain goals. They have members from many different kingdoms and they operate all over the world. Most members are highly skilled at eluding capture and have marketable skills, particularly in the area of combat. Details about the Brethren remain sketchy because members tend to die before revealing anything about the group.

This is a group of people (mostly Mri’s characters) that have banded together for survival. They are all skilled in the arts of killing and have their own agenda. They generally have a lot of aliases that they use in different kingdoms. Little to nothing is known about them.

The Krackatowan Razor

The Razor is a cargo ship owned by Tony the Razor. It sails many waters between Araluen, Gallica and Skandia and has been known to travel farther east on occasion. Tony tends to fly the “Jolly Roger” just before attacking another ship, but when sailing out in the open he will fly whatever Kingdom’s flag he figures will be safest in that area at that time. He recently got tangled up in the mess with the kidnap of King Duncan, although he was set up and tricked into his involvement. Therefore he is wanted in Araluen waters now, but he was granted amnesty in Gallica and is able to put into port in any coastal city in that Kingdom. He has a benefactor in Gallica that goes by the name of Baron Rathbone (Ringulf’s character) and for whom Tony often makes voyages carrying special cargo. Aslavia still wants his head on a platter and the Toscano king, who is distantly related to Tony, has put a price on his head for capture dead or alive – preferably alive and sorely wishes Tony would fall off the edge of the world.

Marshwardens (Searangers)

This group originates and only has jurisdiction within the fief of Marshwood.
The Baron of Marshwood: Baron Justin Jerradithian is charged with the defense and patrol of these marshes. He does this with a unit of specially trained "Searangers" who are known as Marshwardens or simply Wardens. The Wardens report to both the Harbormaster and the Fiefs Ranger who is then answerable to the Baron.
One of its main concerns though is the large number of smugglers and river pirates that use the marshes for their clandestine operations. The Wardens are kept very busy managing and patrolling the large body of legal hunters and fishermen as well as the many poachers and now the smugglers and pirates.

Originally Based in La Rivage, Gallica, This guild stretches across Kingdom borders and branches can be found in most countries. Each locale may have slightly different governing practices and these can vary not only from Kingdom to Kingdom, but also from city to city.
The Merchant’s Guild is a group of merchants doing business in La Rivage in Gallica. They monitor all business transactions within the city and ensure that the cities’ economy remains stable. Businesses don’t have to become members of the guild, but they are usually harassed and threatened and suffer strange losses if they do not become due paying members of the guild.
If you would like to have a character in the Merchant’s Guild, post a request on the “Arrangements” board to Brandwyn. Include what your character’s business is and a link to the character’s profile. Your character must be approved by the staff prior to being accepted into the Merchant’s Guild.

The SWC – Special Warfare Corps

The existence of this group is known to only a very few people that are close advisors to the King, other than the people themselves who are members of it. Generally people become part of it because they are recruited by Captain Dougal or one of his senior officers.
It takes a very special kind of person to join the SWC who are, more so than the Rangers, a Special Forces unit similar to the SASR or the Recce (no, they are very different from the Navy Seals, who are rather loud and obvious when they attack). Their primary role is to conduct illegal or highly dangerous missions behind enemy lines, often acting on intelligence gathered by the Rangers. Death is a constant threat but, to many members of the SWC, that's what makes the whole job worthwhile. Others just like the killing that they often do in order to complete their mission.
Characters are recruited normally because they have exhibited extreme expertise in a particular area (meaning they are really good at one thing) and that skill has caught the attention of the command of the SWC. They may be good at several things, but each member has one main skill that they are known for.

The Thieves’ Guild can be found in pretty much any major city in most Kingdoms. Thieves caught operating without membership in any guild territory often find themselves wearing stone shoes in the nearest river or lake. Membership requires a payment to the guild for the privilege of plying your talents in most cities. The payment goes to the local branch guild master which one will find all too swiftly should they be seen invading another guild member’s assigned territory.
Your thief character (be it a public profession or a clandestine one) can become a member of the thieves’ guild by role-playing an encounter in the arrangements board. Currently Brandwyn must approve membership into the guild and will devise a suitable test and payment for the candidate. If you have questions send a PM to Brandwyn.
