Age: 31
Gender: Male
Profession: Whitby Fief Ranger
Appearance: Short, 5'1", well muscled but not abnormally so. brown shoulderlength hair, mustach and goatee, bushy eyebrows and green eyes. white teeth and a series of horizontal scars on his cheeks and nose and forehead. He is well tanned and has average body hair.
Personality: He is quiet and calm due to his training with halt, though he is naturally lighthearted and has a deep barritone laugh. he is very loyal and his trust is hard to earn back should you ever betray him. He is polite enough to handle issues of diplomacy and politics, but he can also be hard as stone to enemies of the king, espetially to enemies of the Rangers. he has a love of small animals and trains squirrels in his off time.
History: As a young boy Arython was the son of a bandit known as Calibat the shadow. At the tender age of nine Calibat brought his son on his first raid, into Redmont fief. Calibat was guarding the horses for his father who snuck all the way into the castle, stole some jewels from the treasury and ran. Halt chased him through three fiefs and a dense forest before bringing him to justice. Back in Redmont Calibat was sentanced to hard labour for ten years and Arython was taken as a ward by the Baron Arald. Halt chose him for training when he actually managed to thwart a robbery all on his own. The Thief was none other than his escaped father returned to steal back his son. Halt and his father brawled, the large man had halt around the throat with a large rope. Just before Calibat threw Halt off the side of a battlement, Arython thrust an arrow into the mans side, piercing his heart. Halt asked Arython later why he killed his own father, Arython respnded saying "a father knows justice, that man knew only greed. I have no father now, im only the shadow of The Shadow." Halt regarded the young man for a few months and paid close attention to his actions. For three weeks he ordered that Arython should be the one to bring him his food from the kitchen and began his instruction early. When halt was away, Arython was responsible for taking care of Halts cabin and Abalards stables. Halt declared Arython his apprentice and at 18 he was given his silver oakleaf. At times he was needed else where, and his fief was taken care of by another ranger. It is now that while gilan is monitoring his fief, that he returns and enters the roleplay.
Additional Details: Arython is slighlty afraid of snakes, and of deep, dark, places like subterranian caves.
His horse is a beautiful brown-black-grey horse named Hasufel, sadly though he is lame. He was made lame by an old pictish enemy Pendengar Brownwater. Hasufel now spends his days as a companion to Rowendal, the horse he was given as a replacement.
