She laughed out loud and though she wished she hadn't, she kept on for another few seconds before snarling at him. "They say the afterlife is rather peaceful. I'll make sure you book the next flight."
She resisted the urge to lean back slightly into a more comfortable position for her arms, not wanting him to see her uncomfortable and thus ruin the moment. Her eyes were hard, her smile vicious, her mind rushing through the possibilities she could only test once he left.

"As you wish." he tossed the water down his throat and turned away from her. "I will leave you some company." he said and ordered one of his men to post a guard on her all night.
As he returned to his tent, he wondered just what it would take to break her. At least what he could do that wouldn't leave that exquisite body scarred or maimed... Later he pondered that as he lay down and closed his eyes for the night, trusting his guard to alert him if anyting was amiss.

Teresa waited until he left before leaning back and sitting on her heels. Her arms weren't in a much better position, but at least it was something. And as long as he didn't change anything, she'd get used to it eventually. Until then, she'd wait for her chance to escape. She tested her binds, but finding them sturdy, left them alone. She closed her eyes, though she did not sleep, simply meditated. She'd be able to go a few days on it should she be pressed to and thus lower the risk of her missing her chance.
As the moon rose higher in the sky, her pain ebbed away to the back of her mind as she searched for her control. A deep breath in, a deep breath out. Feeling her surroundings, yet immune to them. Watching, but not seeing. She swore that when the time came, she'd be ready.
