Hi Drenith!
I was just going to post up a "Drenith has fallen off the world - let's go search for him!" post and then here you are.
I hope you get back on more. We have had to advance time in Scouting ahead and Lea misses Robert! Grin!
Hope you are able to get on more after school gets out.
MISS YOU! Brandy

Serious question despite the grin at the end.
The rules say that your character has to match the time period. So does that mean we have to type dialogue as they would've talked back then? *grin*

No, I think no one would understand it. English back in the 600's was almost a different language from what we have now. Even reading Chaucer who was in the 1400's (I think) is very difficult to understand.
You may speak with "thee" and "thou" and that type if you really want to, though. Just as long as we can figure out what you are saying.

Oh, and so I don't use inventions that were made later than the time in here, what time period is it exactly? I mean, I know it's in the Medieval times, but where at in them?

Well, on the maps is is in the 640's. However, some of the stuff in the books seems to be closer to the late 1200's (such as black powder in book 6 - according to Dougal who is the only one of us who has read it, and the technology to make the NIght Warrior in book 5 seemed to be a bit advanced for the 640's.)
I don't recall Mr. Flannigan stating a time period in his books, but I might have missed it.

The first gun's believed to be in use during that time in China, but I don't think they used it in Europe. Their sighting was way off and it wasn't really worth using, but could we use it anyways?
*grin* I have no idea why I'm grinning.

Well, actually, I have read it, Book 6, I mean. And yes, its true. And the time period is found on www.rangersapprentice.com/allies_enemies.htm . The time period is 643. I think using a gun would be weird unless we create another job for it. *grin* See! Now you've gotten me to do it. lol.
