Kieran was too busy with shoving people out of her way too notice that she was being followed, and thus didn't bother to slip away to trap him. So she ran straight on, shoving people left and right before finally breaking through the end of the 'mob' of pathetics, only to be knocked over by some... thing - literally. It'd run straight into her stomach and they both toppled to the ground, but before Kieran could do more than snarl, it was up and running again. With her face contorted in rage and maddened bliss, she jumped to her feet and took off after it, unknowningly running straight pass the guy who was following her. [OOC: Marina got herself in more trouble: here]

Lea eyed Wesley while taking a sip from her mug. When he looked at her, she didn't look away. Instead she set her mug down and gave him one of her flirty smiles and tossed her head, making her hair bounce over her shoulder provocatively.
In her experience the best way to get info out of a man was while you were distracting him in bed and she knew all about enticing a man, especially a soldier.
She never looked away from the big man and watched him settle in to his chair and survey the room. She figured he was the type that liked a direct approach and was used to people shying away from him in fear, given the reaction of those near him. Perhaps the bold approach would peak his interest, thought Lea.

Monkuta sighed as he saw his target running in the opposite direction. He half-wished he'd stayed with the drunken giant, but then, remembering the size of his axe, immediately shunned the desire. He turned on his heels and started off after the girl again. What was she after that suddenly had her running the other way?
He wondered what Marina was up to... Could she have had something to do with this? He grimaced as he realized the girl probably lacked the cleverness to orchestrate a stampeding mob such as this. ___________________________________________________________
Wesley raised a curious brow. What was the girl doing? Not that he minded, but few women did those kinds of things in his direction. He wasn't drunk enough to forget that. Or maybe he was? Oh well, he didn't care. He was nearing slumber in this... increasingly comfortable chair. He burped.

Lea saw him settle into his chair and decided that if she was going to get anywhere with him, she would have to make first contact. The seat next to him was empty, in fact all the seats in his immediate vicinity were empty.
She got up and went to the bar and ordered two ales (OOC: beer kind of) and sidled up to the giant, offering him one of the mugs, a coquetish smile on her face. "Hi Big Boy!" She pointedly looked him up and down appreciatively as she slid onto the bar stool next to him, putting her head closer to his level, but she still had to look up to see into his eyes. "You look a bit lonely, sitting here by yourself. Want some company?" Then she sipped her ale, not actually drinking much of it at all. She didn't want to get drunk, but she needed him to think she was heading in that direction.

Kieren pulled one of the knives from her waist, its blade as long as her forearm, as she ran yelling insults to the Lump, but with all the chaos doubted she was heard. And man, could that thing move! She noticed she was slowly trailing behind it, but then someone shoved into it and both of them collapsed.
Kieren snarled in triumph as she covered the last few yards to them, shoving people left and right to enact her revenge on the thing, when it jumped up and tried to run off again. With a cry of deviance, Kieren lunged, knife leading, and hmpfed in triumph as it entered the outlayer of the Lump. A yelp issued forth, but with a quick twist, it managed to yank the knife out of her hand as it began to run once again.

Crazy psycho, The Lump scowled as she reached behind her and pulled out the knife stuck in the fur covering her. The majority of the time, she found herself wishing that the stupid fur hadn't stucked to her like it had because of all the grime and dirt she'd laid in, but not this time. It'd just saved her life and despite that it was now matted to look like a monster, she figured she might as well keep it...well, until she got out of her that is. Now where the heck was the exit?

Monkuta scowled as the girl started to run faster. Tailing a little girl for information wasn't supposed to be this hard. He practically dove after her, taking advantage of the space created by all the people she had shoved out of the way. He thought it would be over as he caught a glimpse of her standing still, but the hope was taken away as he finally noticed the thing she was chasing. It was still moving, which meant she was too.
What was that thing? It looked like a giant fur ball. He'd only seen it for a moment. Could there have been a person under all that hair? He dismissed the thought, deciding it wasn't important. Besides, for all he knew, those things were common in this village. Though he hadn't seen any others... _______________________________________________________________________________________________
Wesley smiled at the pretty woman who had been kind enough to offer him ale. "Oh, hello there small woman. How are you?" He took a large swig from his ale, chugging the entire mug in one gulp. With no small amount of effort, he sat up straight in his chair and faced the woman. After many years, he'd learned that at least attempting manners with women usually payed off. Though, in this state, he didn't think he would be too successful.

"Oh, hello there small woman. How are you?"
Lea smiled at Wesley. "Oh! -am doing jes fine!" she slurred her words just a touch. "Meh name'sss Leee-ahh." She ran a finger ever so lightly up his arm and back down again and leaned toward him, a look of pure admiration on her face. "are yeh one of tha Glad-atersss?" She asked him. "Yeh musst be, with sssuch gorrrgeousss mussclesss."
She gently squeezed his bicep, truly impressed by it's size. Though he wasn't handsome, really, he did have a certain appeal, she thought, yet hoped that she wouldn't have to actually sleep with him to get the information she needed.

Wesley leaned in close to Lea, a movement that was very difficult to do with any precision, as drunk as he was. "What do you want, small woman? You haven't drank much... But you are very clumsy... I do not believe you..." He raised a curious brow, waiting for her answer. His vision was blurry and his memory of the night was not so good, but Wesley didn't remember her ordering much ale.

Lea giggled and leaned in to whisper, "I hev a confesssion; I don' drink - normally tha isss."
She sat back and looked in her half empty mug. "Isss not normal ta feeel thisss good after only two mugsss?" She asked innocently. "I feel warm an' fuzzzzy all over."
She leaned back towards him again. "I don' wanna be alone tonight and He jes left me here!" She flicked her fingers toward the door in the direction Monkuta had taken in irritation, a slight scowl on her face.
Then she turned back to Wesley and smiled at him again. "I like glad-eee-atorsss." she said suggestively and took another swig of her ale. "Wanna go ssomplacce private?"

Wesley chuckled a bit, but then frowned in thought. "Yes... That makes sense. Small women do not handle drink well..." He settled back into his chair and shook his head. "I am tired and I want to sleep, small woman. Besides, my weight might crush you." He leaned his head onto one hand, getting drowsy.

Lea giggled again and then hiccuped. Her hand flew to cover her mouth and her eyes widened in surprise. She had never before hiccuped from drinking ale and she actually was starting to feel all warm inside. "Wass in this stuff anyway?" she looked into her almost empty mug. She had been drinking it faster than she intended to also. She'd never known ale to do that before. She set the mug down on the table and pushed it away. Then she hiccuped again, which was followed by a giggle.
She focused on the giant's words, discovering her thoughts were becoming a bit muddled. She now suspected someone may have slipped something into that last mug of ale. Great. Just what they didn't need right now. She fished into her satchel and pulled out a bitter tasting root and chewed on it. The stuff normally countered most herbs that made one drowsy.
She swallowed the nasty tasting juice and then remembered Wesley's comment. "You gonna go ta sssleep righ' here?" she asked incredulously, nibbling at some more root. "I woulda thought a mighty warrior li'e yeew would hev a nice room of yer own to sssleep in." Lea winked at him. "I wass hopin' ta sseee where tha besst warriorsss sstay between matchesss." She said hopefully.
Lea snuggled up against him and lowered her voice, tickling his ear with her breath, "'sides, ya aren't one o' dem tha' leanss tha other way, are ya? Ya do li'e girlsss, don' ya?" She traced his jaw line with a finger tip. "ya won' crusssh me. I li'e it on top!" She said in a sultry voice, her lips brushing his ear.
Lea struggled to stay alert, knowing she would wake up in a cage - or worse- if she fell asleep here.

Wesley laughed and shook his head. "No, small woman. I do not fight for money. I have... my own special rewards waiting for me. I talked to Rikan and he said it was okay," he said groggily. His eyes started to droop. "I do not need comfort. No one would dare to attack me in my sleep. I would rip them apart!" he said with a bit more vigor, but not much. He slumped a little. This woman was starting to annoy him.

Kieren finally gave up after losing the whatever-it-was at an alley intersection after a sharp turn. Muttering an oath of curses, she abrubtly turned to make her way back the way she'd come. Her eyes narrowed in angered defeat and she threw down a crate, smirking as it crashed onto the stonewalk and spilled its contents out all over the ground. She thought to smash the one it'd been sitting atop of, but figured she'd be much better off at the arena, her time to fight or no. Scowling, she made her way there.

Monkuta stopped to catch his breath, trying to spot the girl. The panic of the crowd had died down a bit, and it helped a great deal. He scanned the area and quickly found the girl, walking calmly in the other direction. What the hell was she doing? He rolled his eyes and followed, now with more stealth than before. At least she was walking. Maybe now he would be able to figure something out.

Lea yawned, either from the drug in her system or Wesley's sleepiness was catching. "I talked to Rikan and he said it was okay". Something about that set off bells in Lea's head, but she wasn't thinking too clearly.
She stood up abruptly and slipped a coin on the counter, not even sure what type of coin it was. "I than' I nee' ssssome air. I don' ffeeeell wellll." She stumbled to the door, trying to keep track of who was watching her, but her head was too foggy. She got outside and took a deep breath, but since it was still in the cave, it really didn't wake her up like it would have if she had been aboveground in the cool night air.
She looked around and then moved down the street and ducked into the next open shop and hid behind a display stand covered with jewelry. Everything was spinning. She still had her satchel and got out another chunk of the root and chewed it methodically. The bitter juice helping to clear the fog out of her mind, but not as quickly as she hoped.
She looked back out the shop's window from her hiding spot to see if anyone from the tavern had followed her.
'Well, that was a humongous waste of time.' she thought. Then she wondered if she were loosing her touch. She'd never really been rejected like that before, well except with Dougal and running into the occasional soldier that preferred the company of othe men to that of women, but still...
'That great hulk doesn't look like he can move from that tavern chair. Great choice Monkuta.' She hoped he was having better luck finding his apprentice than she was.
