[*OOC: This private thread is for Kaedyn Sprite and Lt. Bolt Killington.]
Night waltzed across the sky, bringing along a promenade of stars. Between thin cracks on a dusty window, Kaedyn gazed at the sparkling specters, lost in her thoughts. It had been an unusually long day at Sprite Inn, and Kaedyn wanted nothing but rest. Unfortunately, a few patrons still remained at the bar, and she knew cleaning up after them would be no easy task.
From the corner of her eye, Kaedyn saw a flash of orange leap from the floor. Ghost landed on the windowsill next to her elbow, mewing softly. Kaedyn smiled at her cat, scratching her between the ears.
She picked up Ghost, shifting the cat to her shoulders so she could easily maneuver around the inn to tend to the needs of the left over, and for the most part, drunken guests.
Kaedyn returned to her obligated spot at the bar, and began to wash a few dirty dishes. She sighed as she glanced around. Nights like these were normally made interesting by those in attendance, but tonight it seemed, plain characters embedded themselves into the seats. Chatter was limited, if at all present, and the only noise gracing Kaedyn's ears was the rhythmic purring from Ghost.
She started cleaning the bar top, her thin hands making swift, circular motions with a tattered rag. The doors of the inn rattled from a few gusts of wind, and Kaedyn jumped. Ghost dug her claws into Kaedyn's shoulders and hissed in annoyance. Kaedyn quickly shook her alarm away, and patted Ghost in an act of comfort and apology.
Going back to her work, Kaedyn smiled as she heard a few voices. Directing her view towards the sound, she saw a group of men at the end of the bar. As she eavesdropped, she giggled to herself as a scrawny, blonde man told an outrageous tale of fighting a bear with his own hands.
"And I looked him dead in the eyes, and then he walked away, he knew he was no match for me, no sir," he said, shaking his head violently.
Kaedyn grinned and kept to her work, as the image of this puny man fighting something five times his size entertained her.
