Skylar literally growled as she got another face full of shrubbery. She spit a leaf out of her mouth with a comic expression and sound effect. She sent a gob of saliva after the leaf ridding her tongue of the greenery's taste. She got up off her knees and looked around for some sign of her quarry. She was sure that the bandit was going through every thicket and shrug imaginable just to laugh at her. She was a tall girl making crawling around in shrubs difficult to say the least. She heard laughter, her head jerked around to see her quarry sitting in a tree laughing at her. "Just you wait you pesky little bandit!" seeing a rock she picked it up and threw it at the girl in the tree, sadly among her many skills as a fine warrior rock throwing was not one of them. The missile fell short and thumped to the ground.
"Well if you throw like that all the time I might just stay up here AND wait for you to come get me!" Skylar crossed her arms over her chest and stared at the bandit. No wonder the local authorities were having trouble catching this one, she was cheeky and extremely good at hiding.
"You will not like it when I catch you Mouse."
Mouse shrugged. "Thats what they all say." Nissa was having fun leading this warrior around, she was new to the fief that she was sure of, she would have remember if there had been any other girl warriors stationed here. "Oh hello there Ranger Gilan."
Skylar rolled her eyes and refused to take her eyes of Mouse. "Sorry Mouse but I'm not falling for that."
Mouse shrugged. "It was worth a try."
"If you say so."
Both girls were thinking, Skylar on how to get Mouse out of the tree so she could capture her and bring her back to town. Nissa was thinking on how to get rid of Skylar so she could go to her hideout. The two girls stood there staring at one another lost in thought. It was some minutes later that Mouse's problem was resolved and Skylars more aggravated. Both girls heard a loud rustling in the underbrush that was all around them, Skylar pulled out her sword but kept her eye on Mouse, Mouse was content to wait she felt relatively safe from whatever it was up in her tree. Suddenly with a loud noise and a flurry of movement it finally broke free of the underbrush. Skylar trained to react to unexpected things forgot Mouse and turned toward it her sword raised to either strike or defend. When she saw what it was she let her sword drop and hung her head. It was rabbits. Two rabbits chasing each other. She whirled back to the tree but Mouse was long gone and Skylar was not a tracker in any respect. With a groan she sheathed her sword and grumbling to herself accepted the inevitable and headed back to town empty handed.
