How do you add a pic because I tried like 10 times with at least 5 different pictures but it didn't work.

- Go to your profile and click Modify Profile near the top.
- Scroll down to the Personal Information section.
- You will need to have your avatar hosted at an image site like Photobucket or on your own personal website.
- Copy the URL for your uploaded avatar from the image hosting site and paste it in the text box labeled Avatar URL. If you are hosting the avatar on your own site, the URL may be something like this:
- You can also adjust the avatar's height and width below the text box.
- To finish, click Modify Profile at the bottom of the page.

The photo has to be hosted at a url site? You can't just paste a pdf or jpeg file?
mmm, guess I shall have to update my technical knowledge... probably my technology too. This computer is not compatible with most things out there these days. My poor ancient computer...

I am operating with - hold your breath for it - -
Windows Millenium!!!
Ugh, the computer problems we always have. We have to get a new hard drive to even upgrade to Windows XP because XP is not compatible with this one. We figured it would be easier to just buy a new computer than try to upgrade this one.
Unfortunately the computer I want is a MAC that can do my graphics and it is more expensive, so it will be a while.

No, you cannot simply upload an image to the site for your avatar. I tried it to make sure and it didn't work. That would be too easy.
You must upload it to an image hosting site first because it has to be accessible on the web.
P.S. Good luck with your computer problems.

Well, it will be a bit before I get any of mine up. I am planning on drawing/painting my characters myself and then scanning them in.
So, if I post them on my own web site, would that work? I have never used photobucket or anything like that, not sure how all that works.

Yes, if you upload the images to your own website, you can use that URL (with some minor tweaking) to make your pictures viewable on your profile.

Well I'm completely lost. *sigh* So if you found a picture on photobucket and copy the URL and stick it in the avatar URL place and nothing happens, then what?

You're stuffed. J/K. You probably just didn't copy the right url. Look for the one that says "direct link" or "direct url", or something like that.
