Gender: Male
Profession: survivalist/Re-allocator of wealth (Urchin)
Appearance:
Roath is bald as an egg. he has dark greenish brown eyes, no eyebrows but he does have a rather prominant brow ridge.Personality:
His nose and mouth are small featured and his teeth are yellow and even except for his underbite which gives him a slightly Bulldog-ish look when he breaths through it which is often.
For all of that he is not a bad looking boy when groomed which is not often.
He is about 5' 3" small framed but muscular. he is very agile and flexible, can run very quickly for short distances, and has great endurance.
His senses are very keen and he has very good night vision.
He dresses mostly in rags and old cast off clothing is normally covered with at least a layer of dirt.
His only original possesion and item he keeps with him always is a tattered threadbare great kilt that he uses as a cloak. It is a plaid made from black blue and green that is shot through with threads of yellow, but is very hard to distinguish unles it is looked at closely for the dirt and wear.
Roath is quiet, suspicious of everything, intraverted and grim.History:
He has no freinds and as trust is a big issue for him, doesn't make them easily.
He does not like himself much, hates his life but is a surviver so is very determined.
He is very perceptive and bright, because of the darkness in his own life, surroundings and attitude, he loves and is attracted to beauty, like a dwarf to gold.
He collects all kinds of things we would take for granted and is very clever in the ways he finds to use some of them. He also hoards things away in his "special place".
He is driven mostly by hunger and actually has a self inflicted code of honor he lives by but most would not understand. He can not read or write but is good at drawing pictures which he can do very well with a high degree of acuracy.
He is very good at throwing stones and small rocks showing a great eye hand coordination and accuracy.
Roath does not know how old he is as he can't remember when he was born.Additional Information:
He never knew his parents and was raised in an orphanage until he was about six.
He left because he was picked on mercelously and was constantly fighting. when he started winning those fights due to his furtive nature and quick wits, he was cast out and became a street urchan.
He lives entirely by his wits survives by theiving clothes, food, money, items that he can trade or re-sell and he stashes them in one of several of his little warrens he has made for himself around the city.
His major hole is an unused space inside the stonework of the stables that adjoin the castle in Araluen. It was once a cistern of some sort that was originally constructed to provide water to the horses of one area in the large stable but formed some sort of crack that never allowed it to hold water so it was plugge up from the top and abandoned.
Roath found it when he was picking through the pig stye that the crack came out onto on the outside. He enlarged the hole and made a door of wood covered with a thin slab of stone that matches the stone around it. through the center of which is poked a hole with a piece of rope attached that has a large nondescript knot at each end so he can pull it open or shut from both sides.
It is obscured by a bush and the back of the fence and pig trough. It is small and dark having little room to stand but enough to lay down and he has scraped the grout from the sides of some of the stones to alow some bits of light to filter in while not letting in any water. He has also lined the entire floor to a level of about a foot with hay giving him warmth and cushioning to sleep.
He has dug out a few small tunnels and nitches that adjoin the warren as the walls were constucted of stone and morter on the outside and filled with an earthy clay-like sand to provide storage for his collection and emergency exits, but they are not made with any real understanding of castle construction so are rather dangerous
Roath has a dagger that was once a short sword whose blade was broken. He snapped the tip at a forty five degree angle to serve as a thrusting point.
He has a small pick axe he sticks through the back of his belt that has a short haft with a ring in the bottom.
He also has a staff about four foot long that is made out of a broken rake handle and has been wrapped on the outside about six inches from each end with leather.
