I've honestly only read the first one, and I'd like to start roleplaying. I have been looking for the other three for awhile, but I can't find them anywhere (except for to buy and I'm kind of broke because I spent $41.22 on a pwnful hat [/ramble])
Anyhow, does anyone want to give me a quick summery of books 2-4?

Well, Will and Horace go to Celtica (a branch of Araluen) with Gilan because he is supposed to deliver some information and they need to go in a group of three. They travel there together, and Halt escorts Alyss on her first Diplomatic mission and throws the guy she was delivering a message to into the moat 'cause he was being a bastard.
So, back in Celtica, they find there are no people there. Everywhere is empty. It's extremely weird. They end up trying to find where they went.
They run into a couple of thieves, who they tie up, and a girl who says her name is Evanlyn. She is the princess' servant or something, and says her lady was going to visit a friend but found Celtica vancant. then they were attacked, and she was the only one that survived.
Gilan leaves and goes to tell the King of the news. They are preparing for a battle against Morgarath and his forces. They find out Evanlyn is actually Princess Cassandra.
Will and Horace and Evanlyn see some wargals go by and they follow them. The wargals unknowingly bring them to a place where they are building a huge bridge so they can attack Araluen's army from behind. Will knows he has to burn this bridge, but first he goes and checks things out.
They find that the Skandians, sea raiders, have joined forces with Morgarath's army. They go back to their camp.
Next night, they burn the bridge. Evanlyn (they knew her as that) helped Will. He got his side to burn, but her's wouldn't. He had to cross over to help her.
Just when they almost finished, the Skandians captured them. Will held them off for a bit while Evanlyn made sure she burned her side, but evantually they were captured.
Horace didn't fight with them because he was afraid of crossing the bridge. When they were captured, he ran to tell Halt and everyone and help in the battle.
They find out about another attack from Skandians. Halt and his forces take care of it, and dress up as the Skandians. They look like they're on Morgarath's side, but they're actually not. (Duh.)
Horace tells the King of the news and he gets super depressed. Morgarath then decides he wants to challenge Halt to single combat. The King forbids him to, but Horace challenges Morgarath to single combat himself.
Just when Horace is about dead, he uses this cool move Gilan taught him. Using his dagger and his broken sword, he blocked Morgarath's attack and then kills him, I think. (Can't remember clearly.)
Halt chases after Evanlyn and Will, but is too late. He then swears to rescue his Apprentice.
---This is only The Burning Bridge. Too lazy to type the rest out. If I made a mistake, someone can correct it.---

Thanks a bunch! You did a good job explaining. I'm awful at explaining books because I don't leave anything out... I tried explaining CoC to a friend and after like 20 minutes he said" "Why don't I read it? It will be shorter" and... and... yeah... [/ramble]
Again, thanks!

Glad I could help. The Burning Bridge is my favorite in the series so far, so I had no trouble explaining it.
...I was worried that I left to much out, and explained stupid stuff...

After Will and Evanlyn were captured by the Skandian raiders, they were smuggled out of Araluen on a wolfship. Halt had been unable to reach them in time and obviously he couldn't pursue the ship. The wolfship, captained by a man named Erak, harbors on a small island called Skorghijl to wait until the Summer Gales have blown out. They live in little huts on the island for a while. Will runs laps to keep physically fit in case they have a chance to escape. Evanlyn tells Will that his workouts are unnecessary and that she is really Princess Cassandra, the king's daughter. She believes that once they reach Skandia an arrangement can be made and they'll be ransomed back to Araluen.
Meanwhile, Halt is stuck chasing after Morgorath's senior lieutenant who has been on the run since Morgorath's death. Ranger Commandant Crowley has forbidden Halt from going after Will because he needs all the rangers to hunt down the senior lieutenant. Halt comes up with a plan to get banished from the kingdom so he can search for Will. He goes to a tavern and publicly insults the king while pretending to be drunk. Of course the guard is called they ask Halt to put down his bow. He acts like he's about to shoot the guard but secretly cuts the bowstring with a small knife. To the audience present, it looked like his bowstring snapped under the tension. Several guards then jumped on him and beat him with clubs. He was brought before King Duncan who was sympathetic and banished Halt for only one year. Halt, being banished, was expelled from the Ranger Corps. He was joined by Horace, who received permission from Sir Rodney to accompany Halt. Together, they traveled to Gallica.
At Skorghijl, another wolfship landed bearing the news that Ragnak, the leader of Skandia, had taken a Vallasvow against King Duncan and the royal family. This meant that if Ragnak found out Evanlyn was Princess Cassandra, she would be executed not ransomed. Will decided it would be best to continue to call her Evanlyn in order to protect her identity. They tried to escape once by stealing a small boat used for fishing. However, there was a hole in the bottom and the escape failed. Erak held the plug that blocked the hole. The next day, Erak and his crew board the wolfship with the two prisoners and sail to Hallasholm, the Skandian capital.
In Gallica, freelance knights demand tribute from travelers who cross bridges and the like. Halt permits Horace to challenge these knights even though he's still an apprentice and Horace defeats each one. He gains a reputation and becomes known as the knight of the oak leaf because of a leaf Halt painted on Horace's shield. While they are staying at an inn, a local warlord tries to challenge Horace, but Halt prevents it. When they leave the inn the next morning, the warlord, named Deparnieux, and his men set a trap for the two travelers and they are taken as prisoners to Deparnieux's castle. They are held for a long time until Halt challenges Deparnieux and the fight commences. Halt defeats the black knight by using special armor-piercing arrows. He sets the slaves free and gives the castle to the captain of the guard. Before he leaves with Horace, he sets the building on fire and they head off to look for Will.
In Hallasholm, Will and Evanlyn were sold as slaves. Will worked in the yard and Evanlyn worked in the kitchen. They rarely saw each other. The winter was terribly cold, especially for Will, who worked outside. He was given a drug called warmweed which he quickly became addicted to. It gave him a false sense of warmth that allowed him to work in the freezing weather. Will became mindless; he no longer spoke and the only thing he looked forward to was his next supply of warmweed. He couldn't even recognize Evanlyn when they saw each other. Erak saw what was happening and felt sorry for Will. He helps Will and Evanlyn escape to the mountains and leaves a false trail for the search party. The two escaped slaves make it through the snow to a hunting cabin where they stay until the thaw. Will slowly overcomes his addiction and returns to normal but he's still quite weak. Evanlyn sees a mounted warrior pass by near the cabin but she isn't seen.

Will awakens one morning in the hut to find the snow is rapidly melting. It is the first signs of the thaw. Once the paths up the mountain are clear, hunters will come and use the shelter. Will tries to be strong and tells Evanlyn that they must leave soon. She knows he is still recovering from his warmweed addiction and says he needs to rest until he regains his strength; they will stay until he's ready. Evanlyn treks through the woods to check the snares Will has set. Will waits at the hut and rests. As Evanlyn retrieves a bird from one of the snares, a man wearing thick furs grabs her from behind and knocks her out.
Halt and Horace venture toward the pass through the mountains, which is heavily guarded. Halt creates a fake document that should give them clearance to get through the pass. He completes it by forging the king's seal. When the pair arrives at the pass, they find it unguarded; the entire garrison had been slaughtered. There appears to be no clues as to who killed the men, but Halt searches the bodies until he finds an arrow hidden under one of them. By studying the feathers on the shaft, he determines that Temujai warriors were behind the attack. They find hoof prints on the ground and begin tracking the party.
After Evanlyn doesn't return, Will sets out to look for her. Arriving at the site of the snares, he studies the snow and sees footprints leading up to the spot where Evanlyn was kneeling. He realizes that the princess has been captured. Will tracks the kidnapper to a small camp of Temujai warriors. Evanlyn is tied to a tree and sentries are posted so he can't get to her without being seen. The warrior who captured the princess realizes he can't keep her as a slave because he doesn't have anywhere to put her while the Temujai army is on the move. Hours pass by until the warrior decides to go ahead and kill her. Seeing the man raising his sword for a killing blow, Will draws the string on the small hunting bow he brought along and fires. Since the Temujai wear thick furs, the small hunting arrows wouldn't stand a chance at piercing the hides. Instead, Will aims at the man's sword hand. The arrow penetrates the glove, causing him to drop the sword. Hearing the commotion, all the warriors in the camp charge at Will. Will only has enough arrows to take out a few of the charging men before he runs out. Suddenly, a heavy shaft slams into the closest warrior. The other Temujai suffer similar fates. Will looks around and sees Halt firing arrow after arrow from his massive longbow. Another man attempts to kill the princess but Horace charges forward and takes him out with the flat of his blade.
While the fight was occurring, a few of the other men escaped to the main army. Halt ties up the one surviving Temujai and interrogates him, but the warrior refuses to give up the location of the army. Tug begins to whinny with joy at being reunited with Will. Soon Abelard joins in too. Halt doesn't realize that the horses are trying to warn them and the group finds themselves surrounded by Jarl Erak and his crew. The two parties seem to be "at each other's throats" but Halt tells the Skandians that he can be of use to them by showing them the location of the Temujai army that is about to attack their country. Erak is skeptical, so he and Halt intentionally let the captured warrior escape by tying him loosely and ignoring him. In the morning, the jarl and the ranger track the man, who inadvertently leads them to the main army. What they find is shocking. A huge group of mounted Temujai is waiting to attack Skandia. Once they have the wolfships the Skandians are known for, the mounted warriors will be able to reach the rest of the world. Halt and Erak ride for their lives as a party of warriors pursues them. Halt rides ahead and hides in a bend to pick them off with his bow.
Halt, Will, Princess Cassandra, Horace, Erak, and his crew travel to Hallasholm to prepare for war. The massive army follows them, although much more slowly. Hallasholm sends out messengers calling the rest of Skandia to arms, but help wouldn't arrive before the army reached Skandia's capital. Halt oversees preparations because the Skandians have almost no knowledge of tactics. Trenches are dug and barriers set up. The Skandians fight mostly with axes and scorn the use of bows, but Will sees the value of a unit made up of bowmen. Since the Skandians are unwilling to learn how to use bows, the Oberjarl agrees to set free (after much persuasion) any slaves that volunteer for the bow unit. Will trains the slaves using a system he devised. He shouts the direction and position to fire, and the slaves fire based on his judgment rather than aiming for themselves. Horace recruits some shield bearers to stand beside each bowman and raise a shield when not firing.
Princess Cassandra, also known as Evanlyn, sneaks around and follows Slagor, one of the Skandian jarls, to his wolfship. She remains hidden even when the ship takes to the sea unexpectedly. Evanlyn discovers that Slagor is going to betray the Skandians by picking up a party of Temujai and bringing them behind the front lines to attack the Skandians from the rear. When Slagor reveals that Evanlyn is the Princess (one of the slaves recognized her and told the truth), the Oberjarl wants to kill her, but she reveals Slagor's plan. Of course, Slagor denies it and a ship is sent out to see if the Temujai are waiting. They are, so Slagor is locked up and the party of warriors is left on an island.
The Temujai attack and the battle is won, but not without casualties. The Oberjarl dies during the fight so his vallasvow cannot be completed. The Princess nearly got killed, but was saved by Will. Will neutralized several of the Temujai's elite forces. A lot of the slaves were killed once the enemy got too close to use the bows.
Erak becomes the new Oberjarl and because of his friendship with the Araluens, discourages raiding on the coast of King Duncan's kingdom. Halt agrees to send a group of archers from Araluen to help defend Skandia (since the Skandians don't know how to use bows). Erak takes them all back to Araluen by sailing up the river to King Duncan's castle. Everyone is welcomed back by a huge feast. Halt is restored to his former ranger glory and peace is made by a signing of a treaty between the two countries. Horace becomes a full-fledged knight because of his acts of heroism overseas. King Duncan doesn't have the power to make Will a full ranger, so he offers to make Will a Royal Scout. The Royal Scouts are a light cavalry force who do reconnaissance for the King's army and train archers. The position is equivalent to knighthood. Will turns down the offer in favor of finishing his training and becoming a qualified Ranger.
When Will turns down the offer, Princess Cassandra leaves the room, upset. Horace explains to her that rangers are different and hard to understand. He says Will just needs some time. Will tries to talk to Cassandra but she's always surrounded by royalty and nobles and everything has to be so proper. When he tries to see her after the banquet to explain his decision, she makes herself unavailable. As Halt and Will ride for Redmont, Horace and Cassandra watch from the castle. The Princess is sad to see him go and Horace comforts her.
