Greetings everyone,
To those of you who have more than one character, I would like to introduce you to the "profile" board under "characters"
The purpose of this board is to put all your characters in one place for easy reference.
You can do this by starting a new thread titled "Brandwyn's Characters" or something equivalent with your name in the title and then copy and paste your first character and post it. Then hit reply and copy and paste your second character, etc.
Now you will have a place you can go to quickly see all of your characters profiles and keep track of how many you have.
Don't forget that the limit is 10 unless you have Admin approval to have more.
You may create NPC's too, but they do not necessarily have to be in the creation board (such as Henry, Jack, Shamus, etc.) these would be people your character interacts with, but they are not exclusively controlled by you. Then there are NPC's central to plots that interact with lots of characters, such as Brice, the Red Feather Inn Keeper. He is listed in the creation board so that everyone knows his profile.
Just don't get too crazy creating a zillion NPC's (Non-player character's).
Questions?

hit control and 'n' at the same time and another page will pop up. Then just rotate between the two.

Actually, if your computer is new enough, just press Ctrl+T for a new tab.

I'm usually at the library and that computer doesn't let you do that so I kind of got in the habit of not using Ctrl + T. Srry. I totally forgot about it until you mentioned it. Thnx for reminding me! :-)

or if that doesn't work, you can do it the slow way like I do...
go to the characters board click on your post with your character and hit edit button on the tool bar at the top of the page (Google has it - don't know about other browsers) and select all and then select copy and then go to the profiles page and start a new thread or reply in your current thread and hit paste. (paste is also under the edit button and you should have a copy and paste button on your toolbar)
Yes, I know that is the "ancient' way to do it. but it works!

Ctrl + K works better. Opens up a tab, but whereas Ctrl + T opens a blank one, this one gets the same page. [if I lost you just try it. *grin*]
Oh and if you want to do it the 'ancient' way:
Ctrl + A = selects all Ctrl + C = copy Ctrl + X = cut Ctrl + V = paste

Ctrl + K doesn't work for mine.... It comes out as a question mark in the address bar...

How'd you do it? You don't have to click on anything before pressing those buttons. You just have to be on the page you want copied into another tab.

Don't forget to add the name of your character at the top of each post. When you copy and paste them over, the name is in the subject line and it doesn't get copied, so you have to do that the long way too. Otherwise we don't know which character is which!
Thanks

I think it's easier to just make a link so I don't have to go fishing. lol. *grin*. Like this: Adrian SarcasAll you do for those that don't know, is this: The name goes between the two sets of brackets. [...]Name[...] And if it's a character whose profile isn't in the first entry, then you click the 'link to post' tab [it's yellow and in the bottom right of the post] and copy that http. Oh and if you REALLY want to help me out [*grin*] if you could post the http of your character's profiles to your signature that'd be great. *huge grin* lol. :-)
