"Come on! We've gotta chase it down!!" shouted Hunter. "Strider! Chase!" he ordered. Sain breathed a sigh of relief as Deadeye distracted the boar so it did stab him with its tusk. It took him a second to relax and realize what happened. Then he turned and started after the boar. It wouldnt take the dogs long to corner it, then it would be easy to shoot. The four of them ran for a few minutes then Dragon started barking two long howls then a space then two more he had it cornered. It only took Sain a minute to catch up then he saw the boar, cornered and scared. Sain took aim and shot at the boar aiming for its eye so as not to harm any of the meat.

"Nice shot." said Hunter as the boar fell over in the bushes. "Go ahead and take what meat you want. I won't be able to take it all myself." Hunter gave another whistle and both the falcon and Strider came to their master. "Just leave the hide and tusks alone. I need those for proof."

"Just leave the hide and tusks alone. I need those for proof."
"Not a problem I don't really have any use for them anyways." Sain pulled out his knife and began cutting into the boar, to get enough meat to last him and Dragon a few days. It would be nice to not have to worry about getting meat, and try and start getting some money. But to get money Sain needed to find some work. After about twenty minutes or so Sain had gotten about five or six solid pounds of good meat off the boar. Sain turned to Hunter " thanks now food is one less thing I have to worry about for the next few days at least."

Nissa who had been in her part of the woods waiting for some unwary traveler to show up had heard all the ruckus form the boar. Her curiosity aroused she had left her post and gone to investigate. She got there as Sain killed the boar with one of his arrows. She stayed down wind of the animals and out of sight of them and their masters. She listened to their chit chat with mild interest. It sounded like they were getting pretty chummy. She debated for several minutes while they talked on weather or not to show herself. She wanted to get a better look at the man, it might pay off in the future if she knew what he looked like in case he was ever sent after her. Many people had been sent after her with little success, although she had almost made it to jail a few times. It was those blasted rangers that were the most dangerous they were really good at tracking the best she could do was find a stream and swim down it so that her track were harder if not impossible to pick up. Although it all depended on the mans profession if he was in the same profession as her or in a similar one she would be ok as long as he stayed out of her way. But if he was against her profession then it was a risk showing him her face. If he knew her face it would make his job of finding her that much easier. Finally she came to a decision. She flipped the cowl of her cloak over her head and waltzed right up to them. "What ever happened to ladies first?"

"What ever happened to ladies first?" Hunter turned his head and looked where the voice had come from and saw the girl from earlier that morning. Now that it was almost noon, there was better light and he could see her face more clearly. He recognized her. She had been on the wanted poster he saw back in town. He needed money, but obviously she and Sain were friends. He decided to stay quiet for now. "They who do not sow the seed in the spring do not reap grain in the harvest." he replied as he started taking meat off the bones and packing it into his hike sack. "I didn't see you shoot the boar or help us track it down. Why should you get anything out of our successful hunt?"

Nissa who was watching him carefully saw a flicker of recognition in his eyes as he saw her. So he did know who she was to a certain extent. But now that she knew his face she knew who to avoid. Her hood which had snagged on a branch without her knowing feel completely off her head. She hid her annoyance and realized that is why he recognized her. Naturally her hood was deep and shadowy much like a rangers but it could hardly hid her face when it was falling off her head now could it? Her Hazel green eyes took in the scene they were calm and had a light of intelligence in them. She tossed her head, throwing her long dirty blonde hair back behind her and out of her face for the moment. She leaned on her bow her eyes going from Sain to the other man. There was a light of amusement in her eyes. She wondered why the man was not doing anything about her seems like if he was a bounty hunter he's try to turn her in. But then again it did appear that her and Sain were friends perhaps he didn't want to make an enemy just yet.
"They who do not sow the seed in the spring do not reap grain in the harvest." he replied as he started taking meat off the bones and packing it into his hike sack. "I didn't see you shoot the boar or help us track it down. Why should you get anything out of our successful hunt?"
A slow smirk came to her lips. It refreshing to have someone be sarcastic to her. Usually people just cowered away from her or laughed at her until she punched them. She studied the stranger again the smirk still on her face, he carried a bow and arrows as well as a short sword and some kind of axe. She noticed a scar on his eye and wondered how it had gotten there. He didn't look like a ranger, but that didn't mean she trusted him either. Nissa didn't trust people easily, and she suspected that she never would. On the outside her body language was relaxed non threatening, on the inside she was aware of everything around her and constantly alert for the smallest sign of trouble.
"Well that was a bit of refreshing theology, I'll have to log that away in my brain somewhere."
She said in a sarcastic reply to his sarcastic reply. The smirk never left her face. Although she had a feeling she had made a mistake in letting him see her face.

"Well that was a bit of refreshing theology, I'll have to log that away in my brain somewhere." "Yes, you should keep that in mind." said Hunter. He knew he let his guard down. She knew he recognized her. He glanced back at her out of the corner of his eye. Short. Dirty blonde hair. Red-feathered arrows. Carries a bow. Cowled cloak. Small build. Definitely stealthy and witty. Certainly not a fool, but cocky enough to be manipulated after a while. Hunter took all of this in within a second or two. His foster father had trained him to have an exceedingly good memory. That was a trait that a spy would need to have. Now that he was an assassin/bounty hunter, it came in handy. "I don't believe we've met miss. What is your name?" he asked politely, but a little firmly.

"I don't believe we've met miss. What is your name?" he asked politely, but a little firmly.
Nissa raised an eyebrow so this was the route he was going was it? He was playing the innocent and she decided to call him out on it.
"Actually we have. When was it?" she pretended to think about it screwing up her face and then clearing it as she 'remembered.' "Oh yes it was this morning as I recall. You decided to sneak up on Sain here. Yes I remember quite clearly that, that was you. And don't flatter yourself in thinking that I'm stupid. I know you know who I am and don't pretend otherwise. You've seen my face on wanted posters don't deny it." As she spoke Nissa placed her arm through her bow string so that she could cross her arms over her chest but still retain a hold on her bow. It was more of an agitated gesture than a threatening one. She was glaring at him slightly. She was mad at herself more than anything. He knew who she was although perhaps he didn't know her name. She didn't know what the posters said about her, probably just s description maybe a name but if it did it probably said Mouse cause thats the name she gave if she had to. Then squaring her shoulders and looking at him defianlty she said in a rebellious tone. "And I'm not going to give you my name. And I wouldn't cross me if I was you. Isn't that right Sain? Crossing me isn't a good idea."

"And I'm not going to give you my name. And I wouldn't cross me if I was you. Isn't that right Sain? Crossing me isn't a good idea." Well that was a little unexpected. Hunter thought to himself. "Well, I suppose not. Anyone who jumps to conclusions should definitely not be crossed." he said almost apologtically. "Why are you so mistrusting of me? Cant you see that I am not an enemy? You just witnessed how well your friend Sain here and I work together. I am merely a hunter. I kill wild beasts that are a nuisance to farmers and villiagers." he fibbed, but not showing it in the least. "I have no inclination as to why you would think I would want to cross you. But since you have decided not to give me your name, I think I will keep the share of meat I was about to give you." Hunter went to work at the tusks with his tomahawk. The boar had already been skinned and gutted, and now all Hunter needed was the tusks to show to the farmer so he could be paid what was due to him.

Nissa raised an eyebrow then lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "I think everybody is the enemy. Until they can prove otherwise. Keeps them on their toes and keeps me safe for the time being." then a slow smirk came to her lips. "And don't think you can get along with me just cause you get along with Sain. I don't get along with people very well."
"I have no inclination as to why you would think I would want to cross you. But since you have decided not to give me your name, I think I will keep the share of meat I was about to give you."
Once again Nissa shrugged. "It was more a word of a caution." Then Nissa went quiet happy to just observe the two men and see what they did next. Although she probably should leave soon. You never knew when a ranger would show up. Especially with all the noise the boar had made. Rangers were always lurking around in the forest. You just had to learn how to avoid them.

Hunter was glad the conversation was over. He turned to Sain, bade him farewell and started towards the farm he had killed the boar for. That girl's name; he remembered it: the sign he saw had read "Mouse". Now he could put name to face, even if it was a alias. It was near dark. Deadeye was asleep on his shoulder, and Strider was showing signs of sleepyness. Even Hunter had yawned a few times. He decided to pitch camp here. It was a small clearing surrounded by pine trees with a few bushes dotted here and there. Almost in the very center of the glade there was a large maple tree. He decided to sleep under it's canopy tonight. It looked like rain. As soon as the thought had appeared in his mind, he heard the low, slow rumble of thunder in the short distance.

Nissa watched him go a small frown creasing her forehead. She was very unsure if she was going to have to watch out for him or not. She both though yes and no, she didn't trust him. But she didn't mistrust him either. She mentally shook her head and with a slight shrug turned to Sain. She would deal with him if and when she needed to and there was nothing she could do about it at the moment.
"So Sain, where are you off to now that you are done with killing the boar?"
Idly she wondered if anyone had passed by her spot in the trees. She rather hoped she could go with him wherever he was intending to go. She was immensely bored, she didn't really need any money at the moment she had enough for new arrows, food and clothes.and those were the only things she really used the money for. Unless she saw something she wanted then she just bought that if the rest of her needs were provided for, She grinned to herself that was one of the perks to being a bandit you never had to pay taxes to the king.

"So Sain, where are you off to now that you are done with killing the boar?" Not sure what I am going to do now. Getting food was near the top of my list, next might be water and a good place to sleep. But I am sure there is a river near by for water and the cave works as a bed for now. *While Sain answered her he was wrapping the meat so he could place it in his pack when they got back to the cave. He whistled and Dragon came running to his side. Sain took a bit of the fat from the meat cut it off and gave it to Dragon for a job well done.* Maybe you can help me get some supplies eaither with some extra stuff you might have or where i might beable to get my hands on some at a good price. That is if you buy any thing. * As he said that Sain couldnt help but giggle a bit.* All I have right now is the basics.

The rain subsided after a long downpour. Hunter had barely slept, but at least he had rested enough to regain the energy he would need for the rest of his hike back to the farm. It wasn't light out yet, and that was a good thing. Thieves roamed these parts, and didn't like it when strangers walked through unchecked. Hunter could handle thieves, but he preferred to stay out of trouble when he could. He got up, slung his bow across his shoulders, and started off, Strider by his side and Deadeye on his shoulder. Barely five minutes had passed when an arrow sped passed his head and stuck in the tree next to him. He immediately drew his bow and squatted low. Looking at the arrow, he noticed it had red feathers. Mouse's arrows had red feathers. he remembered. He wasn't sure if it had been Mouse, or simply another thief. Still, he kept his guard up. He would not have to work very hard to defend himself than if it was an ordinary thief. Mouse was no ordinary thief.

There was hiss thump! A loud groan and then silence. Mouse jumped down from her perch bow and arrow in hand and landed cat like some feet away from Hunter. She had a scowl on her face. She had seen the man who had stolen a quiver of her arrows and had repaid the act with her own act of justice. She had shot him in the back brought down by the same red feather arrows he had stolen. She straightened glaring at the dead man who was half in the road half in the bushes her arrow protruding from his back. "By the way don't think for even a moment that I was saving your life. I was simply taking back what is right fully mine." She told hunter as she yanked her quiver from the dead man.
