Age: 27
Gender: Male
Profession: Most prominently he is an assassin
Appearance: Kam Chai Lee is a short figure measuring in at just over 5'5". However, his weight compliments his height due to his lack of weight. Being just 117 lbs, he is small in the eyes of many. He has deep set gray eyes, the sort of gray you think of when you picture coldness and death. His hair is a snow white color, almost as if he was born from snow. This color hair is probably shown at such a young age due to his father, however his skin pigment or eyes are not affected. His hair is long, reaching down to his lower back, however he puts it into a pony tail that puts it high on his head. For facial hair he is kept rather clean except for a ong fu manchu that reaches down to just above his chest. He has strong cheekbones and rather small ears. He has a muscular body from years of training in open hand fighting and also years of assassin training. He hides his muscle underneath a leather jerking. Above this jerkin he wears a puffy purple shirt with gold linings. The buttons on the shirt are made of gold as well. His pants are starkly purple and they cuff and roll at the bottom because they are slightly long. However the inside is purple so the roll makes the very of his bottom of his pants look gold. On one shoulder hangs a gray and black mottled cape. He stole the idea from the rangers he had seen in snow regions of Araluen however rather than concealment it was for design purposes. In his ponytail he sticks a golden feather at the base. He wears brown leather gloves that are toughened as well as toughened leather boots which cushion his footseps. Around his waist he wears a large leather belt that serves no purpose other than to look good. Attached to the belt or sheathes on either side shaped for a scimitar. Inside each sheathe was a scimitar of same size but different weight and charachteristics. His off-hand scimitar (left hand) is tempered steel that had been permanently blackened. This blade was serated down the side so to have a torn wound in his victims upon pulling it out. The pommel was ordinary as was the leather bound hilt. For his main-hand scimitar he had it more carefully decorated. It was made of several layers of two metals. Tempered steel and gold. The final layer which covered the knife was a golden colored steel so that the blade would be sturdy. The crosspiece was made of gold but the inside was also reinforced with steel. As for the hilt, it was steel wrapped in marvelous black leather that striped to show lether or steel making a black and silver pattern. At the bottom two fine pieces of silk dangled for about half a foot. One silk ribbon was made golden, the other purple. The pommel held an octagonal diamond cut by his now dead jewelcrafter. In the back of his boot he secretly has a sheathed dagger that he may use in a sticky situation, however he barely uses it. As soon as the fight gets that close, he has won it with his scimitars. Also, held in neat little loops on his belt he holds 12 throwing knives. Despite favoring his scimitars, the assassin has a plethora of available weapons on his person that he keeps hidden over his body in accessible places. He carries with him a trident dagger which when the trigger is flipped a spring releases two other bloods hidden behind the central blade. This is for advanced paring techniques and also for a gutting. Also among him he carries a sword-breaker dagger that he can use when he feels overpowered by the enemies sword. Simply he catches the sword in the dagger's teeth and twists the dagger to create tension between two strong theeth, ultimately breaking the sword. For his mid only mid ranged weapon he uses a Kusari-Gama. Which is a scythe on a chain that is attached to the handle. the scythe can be used for close quarter fighting however, he doesn't prefer it. At mid range with the extended chain he swings tis at enemies to inflict damage upon them with his black scythe. He wears this on his hip like a whip. He carries no ranged weapon because he feels burdened by them, however if given a bow he can use it but not accurately.
Personality: Kam is a laid back man. He never frets about anything, and doesn't bother to pay attention to all the hysteria around him. However, he enjoys causing hysteria. Due to his cynnical nature, Kam enjoys his job as an assassin. However, despite being an assassin, Kam is a very joking person. He constantly has a smile on his face, rather cynnical or not it is there. His prize trait is his ability to manipulate and decieve others, not only through lies but through elaborate schemes. Being one of the smaller people in the world, he is constantly trying to prove his worth to others. This self determination can hinder him sometimes, but it can also propel him forwards. He is not very sociable, enjoying his own company above those of others. If someone is able to best him in a duel or a fight, he will have respect and allegiance for them in the future. Kam does not enjoy being crossed, and will take revenge on any who try to fool him. Kam is loyal to those he sees as his allies and will go out of his way to save them. Also, prior to being an assassin he was in the army. He was known for his strategic skill and this has helped him in combat before. Kam is afraid of large animals such as horses and he also fears confined spaces. However his biggest fear is of venemous creatures.
History: Kam grew up in Nihon-Ja as heir to his father's tribe. His father was tribe leader and was a skilled combatant in the way of the fist. As a young child, Kam learned the way of the fist through his father but he also improved on it. Rather than striing with his fist, he struck with the heel of his hand. He quickly mastered the martial art and grew bored of practicing it everyday. His father noticed this and gave to him a scimitar. Kam instantly grew in love with the weapon. He ignored basic training for other weapons as he trained as a child. Most Nihonian children grew to be experts with the bow, but he honed his skills with the scimitar. He appied his fighting style to the scimitar and hs sword skills grew to be the best in all the tribes in a small radius. After mastering the scimitar at the young age of 14, he decided he wanted to broaden his horizon with other weapons. He found a liking to daggers because one could use them like one used a scimitar. At the age of 15, he was told he would be recruited to go to the army when he was 16. Knowing that he would need some ranged skills, he picked up on the throwing knife. Until he was 17 years old he trained everyday with throwing his kives and finding the perfect balance. He was fairly accurate and could hit the bullseye 9/10 times. The day when he was recruited to the army was finally upon him. However, the army issued different weapons to him. He was stripped of his plain scimitars and given a standard issue katana. Also, he was required how to use the Kusari-Gama. He found interest in this weapon and decided he would enjoy learning how to use it. He stayed in the army for three years, one year shorter than what he needed. He stole into the night one night, slipping through the guard. BY the time they noticed, he was long gone. He had kept only with him his Kusari-Gama. As he was travelling, he realized he would need to leave Nihon-Ja. As a fugitive of the Emperor's army, he was now an enemy of state. He fled to the coastline and grabbed a boat from a group of cut throat pirates. However, they where only interested in taking what little gold he had. Kam figured it would be best to leave, so the next stop they made he wiggled from his bonds and stowed away on a Skandinavian wolf boat. He hid in the supply hull for three months until the boat docked in Arridia. There he stayed for 4 years of his life, going up until his 24th birthday. In Arridia, he blended into a tribe of Arridians who traded horses and people for money. He noticed that the arridians used scimitars and bonded quickly with his tribe of traders. However, one day he had a rough encounter with one of the horses. While he was riding it he got bucked off and chased by the horse. He managed to kill it, but he was branded an outcast of the tribe for killing one of their valuable horses. As he was wondering through the desert, at this stage in is life he was poor and wore rags and a turban for clothes, he came across a snake and a scorpion. Not realizing they where poisonous he killed them and ate them for food. He was instantly crippled by the poison and only managed to struggle to the Arridi healers in the nearest tribe. He was healed, but he was then shackled and sold as a slave. He was shipped to Genoseva as a slave, and was stored on a confined ship stcked with peope and barrels. Once there he escaped savery as soon as he was unshackled. He ran off into the woods and seemed to dissapear into the shadows. Little did he know he was being trailed by a Genosevan assassin. The assassin tracked him down and offered him tow things, death or a contract as an assassin. Kam took the latter and trained in skills of poison and various other tools. He was allowed one request and he asked for custom made scimitars. The assassins provided and he now has all of his current garb and weapons thanks to them. After being an assassin for three years he rose up the ranks and became an officer. He gained enough money to buy himself sea faire from Genoseva to Araluen. Due to being intermingled with every culture, he had no prominent accent however due to his birth in Nihon-Ja, he had adapted a slight tinge to his voice. Once in Araluen, he was mailed contracts from Genoseva and has been executing them ever since, reigning terror in all the fiefs alike. As part of his contract he has to send earnings back to Gensoeva as 30%. He does so because he gains so much money per contract that he is payed doubly by contract givers and from wealth he had stolen from targets. Being in Araluen, he is free to accept any contract from anyone in Genoseva or Araluen. However, outsiders have to pay him triple for an inside job.
Additional Details: Has a stash of money buried in Araluen. Plans on one day assassinating the ranger head and the king. Thus diseveling Arauluen and allowing other countries to destroy it.
