Name: Thane
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Type: Ranger (Full-fledged)
Appearance: Thane has a messy rat's nest of pale blond hair that has some darker streaks mixed up in it somewhere. It's curly and (as sort of already explained) always looks like he barely combed it after he woke up. In fact, it only does because there are no tangles in it. It's just...unruly like that. He also has blue eyes that sometimes look sort of green, depending on what he's wearing. Since he usually wears his Ranger's cloak, they often appear completely blue, oddly enough. His eyes have a wicked twinkle in them. Thane is about 5'7 or so. Maybe a bit shorter. He's very strong, despite his slight build, though, and could probably pick up something that weighed almost as much as he did. He carries a longbow (that's always strung), his saxe knife, throwing knife, and a couple other daggers in case he has to use them. He's great with daggers.
Personality: Thane is very much like one would describe the great Ranger Halt, though less...great. I mean, he's a cool person, but not a lengend. Go figure. But anyways. Thane is sort of cocky at times, is extremely sarcastic and very sly. He's secretive like every other Ranger and very talented with his longbow and his daggers. Thane's a great leader and tracker. You can always count on him, especially to get you out of sticky situations. The only things that makes him different from Halt is that he's an expert at different things, likes company, and the whole dagger thing. And he doesn't speak Gallic very well, though he travels there occassionally.
History: Thane grew up in the fief of Araluen. His father was the Battlemaster there and a good friend of the king's. Thane was never quite like him; he didn't like using a sword, he was more adventurous, and he just never seemed like a warrior. It was a great disappointment to his father at first, because he had hoped that his son would become Battlemaster eventually. But he got over it. Thane's father was close friends with the head of the Ranger Corps. at the time, and he soon recognized that Thane's abilities could serve another purpose. He could have a Ranger for a son. When Thane was thirteen, his father talked to him about how he knew that Thane wouldn't be a knight. He told him how it seemed that he could be a Ranger. Naturally, Thane was very surprised about this announcement. A...Ranger? He thought it sounded interesting, but sort of scary. But, of course, he decided he did want to become a Ranger. He was officially offered the apprenticeship of few day later. Thane trained like any Ranger Apprentice would. It was six years of hard work, but he liked it. He didn't consider it work, really. Soon enough he actually was a Ranger. After staying around Araluen fief for another year or so, the Ranger at Caraway fief died, and he replaced him. He would've been more excited if he hadn't known that Ranger, though. So right now he's just starting off. Caraway is a relatively big fief to handle, and for a Ranger who's new to the job, it's basically hell, but it's pretty cool. It turned out that when he was fourteen, his mother had another child who they expect will be a knight, and a great one. His mother died giving birth to Ian, though.

Accepted, but try to use a more legible color for him. The red's a bit hard to see and not fun to read.

Whoops; sorry. It's actually brown, btw. It was more visible than the maroon, though, and I wanted to use one of the two.
But I changed it now...is it easier to read?

Yeah, it's better. You know you can use hex codes, too. So if you see one that you like a lot (my favorite is the bronze color that are the links), just write it down or memorize it.
