Oh yeah, there was one dream where I dreamed that I was adopted and then i saw my real family. Single mother with a baby girl. It was on the trip to China Town in...[the one near Indiana] and I woke up when we actually got there. Freakiest thing happened. I actually saw that mom and her little girl walking down the streets. Freaked me out. I've always wondered if I were adopted. *grin8

For me ESP is like an instinct. Sometimes I get a very strong feeling that something is going to happen, or in the case of driving, I get a strong sense that there is a cop over the next hill or around the next curve, or that a driver is suddenly going to stop in front of me or turn across my path.
I start reacting before it actually happens. One time I saw the idiot in the right lane in the jacked up pickup turn left right into my path in my mind a full second before he started turning. I was already putting on the breaks when he started turning - far enough in advance that Mike asked why I was breaking - just as the guy pulled across our path. I still had to do a u-turn to keep from plowing into him because we were doing about 50 when we reached that intersection.
I guess it is more like an instinct than anything though. A feeling and I have learned to trust it because most of the time it is right.
I used to look at a stack of booster packs for magic the gathering game and pick two out of the pile. The one I always picked out for Mike almost always held a rare card. The one I picked for me usually held common cards.
For some reason I am "drawn" to certain things like the booster pack with the rare card in it. Same thing on questions, if I don't know the answer, if I put down the first thing that pops into my head without thinking about it, normally that is the right answer. Almost always when I went back on a test and tried to reason a question out and changed the answer, my second answer would be wrong and the first one would be right.
Taught me to not second guess myself most of the time.
So, if someone tells you ESP is a myth, don't believe them. I think there is a great deal of things the mind can do, we just haven't learned how to use the mind to our full potential. We barely use any of it normally.
Plus I have the brain scan to prove my brain doesn't function like most people's! The neurologist didn't know what was going on with it either. He said I had "interesting activity" particularly between my waking and sleeping state.

I've believed in ESP for a very long time. The paranormal has always been a topic I've been interested in. I used to try to build mind walls in my head when I first learned about it because I was afraid that someone that had it might try to read my mind. *grin* Have no idea if I succeeded or not. lol. :-)

Think about white paper or a field of snow if you think someone is trying to read your mind. Or building a brick wall, brick by brick. That ought to throw them off! Grin!
I actually had a dream about that once too. Another good sci fi story...

I heard of the brick wall. Mine's climbing a spiral of stairs. I never reach the door at the end though.

Mines a poem, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
The Road To Damascus A man was walking one night Down a lane without a light Thinking that he heard a sound The man then turned around Someone jumped him suddenly And assaulted him violently Badly beaten and then robbed He lay in the road and sobbed Injured for many hours he lay Many people had passed his way Only one stopped, not to assist To take his watch off his wrist

I used to have the same dream once a year, on exactly the same day. It's been a while since I had the dream, but it was either me falling off the Titanic and surviving by floating in a basket full of holes or it was something to do with lots and lot of stairs. I almost wish that I had those dreams again. They were fun dreams.

I used to dream the same thing every night for about two years. It was of a bunch of people standing around Old Faithful (a geyser in Yellowstone National Park) while it was going off. and then it would switch to a really clear stream of water. It was so clear, it was like glass flowing over a bed of rocks. And I could distinctly see each rock, stone, and pebble in the stream. And then everything changed to and steady flash of yellow which changed to white, and then everything would fade out to black.
