Emily shook her head and gestured for Skylar to follow her. "The cargo we need to deliver is missing. Like it escaped, missing." She sighed. "I should have done this myself." She muttered.
"What??" Skylar exclaimed in an undertone. "What do you mean escaped? How in the world can you escape a dungeon. There's guards everywhere!" She followed Emily hot on her heels, her boots thudding on the ground her sword slapped her side as she strode forward. Where would they go? They were in the middle of the castle! She would surely be recognized as a stranger right? Surely someone would see her recognize her and sound the alarm right? It seemed logical to her anyway but then again she was more of the lets duel i tout or face consequences to your actions head on kind of girl. It was of course totally possible that the prisoner somehow managed to kill the guard or maybe lour him into their cell somehow? Then she had knocked them out. That was possible if the prisoner in question was big, or knew of how to fight a bigger opponent. She looked around her trying to see if she could spot the prisoner in question.

"That would be true in most cases." Emily said, frowning. "But the prisoner was the Night Watchman, and she's popular with the....um....common people in the country. I have a feeling that's how she got out in the first place." As they walked around, Emily casually glanced up once in a while. When she saw boots, she nudged Skylar with her elbow and kept her head down. "Look up slightly. Like you're talking to a solider. She's on one of the wood thingies." She sighed. "I'll probably have to shoot her down...."

Skylar was still flabbergasted that the soldiers in charge of everything had allowed such a thing to come about in the first place. The prisoner should have been on a very strict solitary position no tone person should have been able to go down and see her. Not a solitary one and anyone who asked should have been treated with suspicion and watched. Well there was nothing she could do about it now. The prisoner was out and now they had to catch her... again.
"Look up slightly. Like you're talking to a solider. She's on one of the wood thingies." She sighed. "I'll probably have to shoot her down...."
Skylar did as Emily said to and saw the girl there, as far as she went Skylar had seen much more impressive foes before. In her mind That's all the Nightwatchman was a foe. An enemy she killed people and didn't care. Anyone who killed people and did care was an enemy to Skylar. She had heard her fair share of stories about the Nightwatchman even some from her father and mother and none of them had been good. She wanted The Nightwatchman to be brought to justice for what she had done.
"If you think it is as good idea then do it. I have your back, I'll stand guard while you shoot." Skylar was calm as a cucumber and looked at Emily with steady eyes. She was prepared to do anything and she was totally capable of backing up any threats or bragging she made or did. She was NOT someone you go ton the wrong side with.

The Nightwatchman watched them both casually, like if she were looking over meat or fresh produce. She held back a bark of laughter then flipped off of her perch and landed on the ground, landing on her feet with bent knees. "Look," She said, her voice light. "I just want to leave and join my friends. That's all. Deal?" Emily stiffened. She glared at the former Ranger-She didn't think of Sue as anything else-and sighed. "I don't make deals." She muttered darkly. "I'm the one who hunts people like you."

Skylar glared at the Nightwatchman and laid her hand on the hilt of her sword. She was more than prepared to draw it and use it in the blink of an eye. In fact she was more prepared to just start swinging her blade now and ask questions later. She refrained from doing so and decided to take her cues from the ranger. This was her mission after all. She would step in if she needed to. Her hand never left the hilt of her sword her eyes bored into the Nightwatchmen her face unreadable.

Emily sighed. "You're going to jail, Sue, that's final."
"No, I'm not!" The watchman said, and launched at Emily. Emily ducked and kicked, but missed. "Haha! You can't catch me!"

With the reflexes of a cat Skylar reacted. She drew her sword faster than you could blink and as The nightwatchman tried to shove past her the tip of her trusty sword touched her throat. "I really wouldn't do that if I were you. Unlike Emily I have no qualms in killing you." Skylar's eyes were hard and cold there was no mercy or pity.

The Watchman laughed. "No you can't." She said, against the cold steel of Skylar's sword. "You need me for answers. And I'd answer them if you let me go!"
Emily looked surprised for a moment. "You'd really give us answers?" She asked. "Like you gave your gang 'answers'?"
The last part was a guess, and both Emily and the Watchman knew it. The Watchman raised an eyebrow.
"You'll never know." She said.

Skylar gave a harsh bark of laughter. "Oh I sincerely doubt you would tell us anything."
Emily looked surprised for a moment. "You'd really give us answers?" She asked. "Like you gave your gang 'answers'?"
The last part was a guess, and both Emily and the Watchman knew it. The Watchman raised an eyebrow.
"You'll never know." She said.
Skylar shook her head. "I thought you might have friends. People like you usually travel in packs." She pressed the sword a little harder backing the Nightwatchmen up against a wall. "Please Emily just say the word and I'll end her life right now."

Emily sighed and rubbed her temple. "Skylar, I'm not sure that we should kill her." She said, looking away. The Watchman looked scared, though she tried to hide it under a smirk.
"She's too scared to kill me." Sue said, her voice heavy with a mix of sarcasm and fear. "She's not even sure if she wants me dead."
Emily glared at her. "Oh, I want you dead." She said, darkly. "But I also want to find your gang and end it before people start dying." She paused, remembering Oliva's guards. She stared up at the stone roof above them and sighed. "Skylar, do whatever you have to do to get her to talk. Please."

"Skylar, do whatever you have to do to get her to talk. Please."
Skylar frowned a little but nodded curtly all business she shoved Sue to a seat on the ground her sword still at her chest preventing Sue from doing anything stupid. Even if she did manage to not get skewered by the sword Skylar was an excellent fighter.
"Right, so miss Nightwatchman what do you have to say for yourself? Where are your friends hiding? I know they are out there. Tell us and MAYBE the king will let you live."

Sue smirked. "The ,answer is that they're in the woods. We don't like taxes or liars or Duncan." She said, veering off topic. She was sweating, from nervousness and being overheated.
"We know that." Emily snapped. "But where in the forest?"
Sue shrugged. "I forget. Its been a while since I've been home and we have camps in every fief."
Emily glared at her. "Then you tell us every camp in every fief.....NOW!!!"

Skylar didn't let up and raised just one eyebrow waiting for Sue to answer. She didn't really expect Sue to answer, even if she did she didn't really think it would be an honest answer. She didn't trust this Nightwatchman.

Sue shook her head no. "Thats not my style." She said. "Besides, do you really think I'm the bad guy here? The poor in Araluen are going hungry, and they have to pay their taxes. All my gang and I are trying to do is help them out! The rich have money they don't need. We're just giving their surplus money and food to the poor people that need it!"
Emily glanced at Skylar. "Well, would you look at that." She said, sarcastically. "A noble bandit. Isn't that a first?"

Emily glanced at Skylar. "Well, would you look at that." She said, sarcastically. "A noble bandit. Isn't that a first?"
Skylar laughed bitterly. "I'd say she was far from noble. More like a murderer to me. I say we just kill her now and be done with it. I can go after the bandits and finish them off before the y kill more people."
Skylar was almost ashamed to think that she was deadly serious, she had to use all of herself control not to plunge the sword into the Nightwatchman right there and now. She had after all committed treason against the crown by speaking about Duncan. and she HAD omitted murder after all, it was no more than she deserved.
