Belief in God(s) doesn't mean Christianity. "Godspeed" is also a general term for wishing someone success. I don't think that's evidence enough to assume Araluen is a Christian region.

In the fifth book, Will asks an innkeeper if the Baron of that northern fief has gotten religion and taken a vow of silence.
Vows of silence usually come with entering a monastery, and I would think that that would be Catholicism, which is basically Christianity.
Also, if "Godspeed" means that someone is only wishing you success, why don't they say "goodspeed"

Godspeed is actually just a shortened form of 'Travel well and God be with you' [or close to that anyways.] It was a phrase you told a guest when he/she was leaving your house and embarking on the rest/beginning of their journal. They shortened it to thus and over time it took on the general form of 'good luck'/'have a good journey.'
So that's a yes for Christianity? What about any other religions?

So there's evidence of monotheism. In a book where the map is based off of Europe, that's to be expected. Hell, the religion of Araluen could even be based loosely on Christianity. That doesn't mean we should jump straight to Catholicism.

What part of Europe is it based off of? *curious*

Bits and pieces of Northern Europe and the UK. Obviously Skandanavia was booted a couple thousand miles to become Skandia, but that's how it goes.

Ja. I got the nationalities/cultures, but I didn't know about the landscape.
