Emily looked at Mouse, a startled look on her face. She had jumped when the other girl had began to laugh, and she looked at Karel, the the ground. ''Warn me before you go and do something like that, please.'' She muttered.

Karel just stared at Mouse with a slightly confused look about him. He didn't understand jokes the way most people would. That came with the years of discipline beaten into him by his master. He did however manage to relax by a fraction of a hair, nothing noticeable but the air around him seemed less tense.

Emily looked tense. "What was that about?" She asked. Normally she would've run at the sudden sou nd of laughter, but bitter experience told her not to. She looked at the Mouse.

Karel wondered where she was headed to but quickly dismissed the thought. It wasn't his venture and he wouldn't pry, although she might need assistance. He just stood there stoically to see if he could derive more before she left.

Mouse studied him for a minute then deliberately say back down. "Mmm on second thought being chased around a forest is very tiring. I think I'll stay here for a little while." She even threw in a yawn for good measure. Her mind was bust thinking of what she should do next. Not only did she have to get rid of this ranger now she was going to half to look over her shoulder so she could get rid of this guy right here. She could easily loose the ranger she was probably on her way somewhere anywhere. But Karel was different he was a bandit just like she was. She didn't know much about him, but she could easily assume that he might follow her in the hopes that he could get in a profit from her next victim, or kill her and take all the money. She still wasn't quite sure what to make of him. She sighed a little and laid back on the ground her hands behind her head as she stared up at a patch of sky in the hole of the canopy of nothing but green leaves.

Emily looked around the group of people. She needed sleep, and she was frustrated and confused. Not allowing herself to show any emotion, she crossed her legs, so she was sitting cris-cross (OOC: Is that how you spell it?) and sighed. "I'll take first watch, if anyone wants to sleep." She volunteered.

Karel wandered over to a nearby tree, making sure the other two stayed in his line of sight.
"I'll take first watch, if anyone wants to sleep." She volunteered.
He crossed his arms over his chest, making sure his hands weren't far from his throwing blades, and lowered his head pretending to sleep. He was far enough away that even with keen eyesight not many could tell his eyes were open by a minute amount. 'Observation is the key' his master used to say and that is exactly what Karel did.

"You go ahead and sleep Emily. I'll take first watch." Mouse wasn't tired at all. In fact after all the fighting what she really wanted to do was go running around to burn off the energy. She felt restless. But she wasn't going anywhere with that guy Karel around he seemed like the kind of guy to attract trouble. And where there was trouble rangers weren't usually far behind. Emily was a mere acceptation a very annoying acceptation but an acceptation none the less. She really didn't know why Emily took a interest in her but for some reason she did. She didn't understand it really. Mouse was a thief, sometimes she killed people, Emily was a ranger an upstanding person in the kings law. It just didn't make any sense to her really, but then rangers often confused her so there wasn't much to say really. She shrugged a little to herself the biggest thing was getting rid of Karel, there was little to no threat from Emily with her leg all bandaged up. She wouldn't be following her any time soon. Karel however was another matter altogether. She had no doubt that he would follow her if she left. She now she had to devise a plan on how to get rid of him so she could leave and be on her way. She had a bounty Hunter to meet.

"You go ahead and sleep Emily. I'll take first watch." Emily nodded slighty. She wrapped her cloak loosely around her, making sure nothing was tangled into her cloak and put her cowl up. She closed her eyes till they were mere slits and studied the other two people. She had the idea that the man wasn't asleep, but she wasn't sure about it, and she wanted to keep an eye on Mouse, in case she tried to escape.

Mouse decided eventually that enough was enough! She was sick and tired of sitting around here doing nothing, she had things to do and people to see. If they wanted to follow her fine, she didn't care anymore besides they were asleep either that or pretending. Again she didn't care anymore. She had a reputation to uphold in both the lawless world and the law. Abruptly she got to her feet grabbed her bow and shouldered her quiver and walked off into the woods not caring if they cared or if they followed. Emily wouldn't get far with her leg injured even if she rode it would bother her almost as much as if she were walking. Sure she could shoot her but it was risk she was willing to take. Karel however was a different matter she was 100% positive that he would follow her. As she walked through the trees she pulled an arrow from her quiver and strung it to her bow string. She held it in place with practiced ease, if she heard either of them following her she was one step ahead of them, she was skilled as an archer pretty much legendary in the criminal world. well maybe not legendary that wasn't stretching the truth a bit. But she WAS skilled and that skill was recognized by pretty much everyone even the rangers. She continued walking and thought that once she got back to her camp she was going to change before meeting the bounty hunter, she decided that she would be a female in a simple skirt instead of her usual tunic, pants, and boots. Well she'd still keep the boots they were her only pair of shoes after all. Now what color dress should she wear? She had that nice Blue one, or that green one that really set off her eyes nicely. Yes she would wear that one, she'd brush her hair and braid it so that it was nice and neat, she wanted to make a good impression on him. She didn't want to meet him looking all bedraggled and not at all the professional thief that she was.

Karel knew that the Mouse would take off, she didn't have a reputation for sitting around. The ranger might follow her, even with that bad leg of hers. He was posed with two options now, well three really but he didn't like the last one. One follow the Mouse and leave the ranger to her fate, two stay with the ranger and leave Mouse to her fate, and finally three help the ranger follow Mouse and find out where she is headed. After he knew Mouse was out of earshot Karel moved over to the ranger, picked her up and placed her onto her horse. He then grabbed a water-skin from his pack and shoved it into her mouth saying, "Drink, it'll ease your pain and allow you to ride. It's a mixture of a root that stimulates the body and bark from a tree that eases pain." He then went off into the brush following in the direction of the Mouse.

Mouse feeling satisfied that she looked presentable grabbed her bag and went off in search of the road. She found it and headed off in the direction of town. He had told her to meet him in a specific tavern and a certain time. As she cleared the trees she looked up at the sun it was a little past noon she needed to hurry if she didn't want to be late. She walked into town and glanced casually behind her curious as to if the other guy and Emily had followed her or not. Surely Emily hadn't she was injured after all and it wouldn't be wise for an injured ranger of all people to enter the more shady part of town. But she was not Emiy's mother nor her boss nor her friend really if she wanted to come and follow her for no good reason that was her prerogative she needed to focus on her task at hand. She entered the tavern and walked to a nice shady dark corner and waited, the man said he would come to her so he must of course know what she looked like. She sat relaxed and waited for events to unfold themselves.

Karel followed Mouses tracks, at least what little there was of them. She was good at hiding them even when not trying. They lead him to a road fairly used and her foot prints melded into all the others laid into the road. It was a guessing game now, on the one hand follow the road and hope she wasn't leading him away only to double back or go in the opposite direction and head into town. Odds were good that Mouse could do either. Needing to make another tonic, after giving the ranger his, Karel headed towards the town. As he neared the town he spotted Mouse looking back to see if anyone had followed, "Good guess," he thought to himself as he ducked under the shade from the nearby trees to mask his presence. Good thing no one was around or it might look suspicious, however, Mouse more than likely saw him. After Mouse headed to the local tavern, Karel followed. He stepped into the darkness that was the tavern and promptly went to the bar, ordered a drink for himself, and asked for some water in a bowl. The bartender thought it an odd request until Karel slipped him twenty times the normal value for the ale and motioned with his finger to keep quiet. The bartender acknowledged and fetched the required items. Karel mixed his concoction and emptied the bowl's contents into his last water skin then drank his ale and waited. He was waiting to ask Mouse after her affairs were complete if she wanted to team up. He knew she had come into this tavern and no one comes to a place like this unless they want to brawl or have a secret meeting. His money was on the later.

Nissa sat there at the table waiting, she glanced over and saw Karel there. Wonderful, just what I need. She glanced casually at the door hoping against hope that Emily wouldn't show up, if she did then she could kiss this job good bye. Fact was, she could really use this money. Finally a man approached her, her wore a black cloak with the hood up so you couldn't see his face. Though he left the cloak open so you could see his features. he was lean, dressed in brown and black with a sword at his hip as well as a dagger at the other. He sat down and nodded to her. "Hello Mouse." She gave him a good hearted glare. "Took you long enough." "Apologies and did not expect to be delayed. Are you still prepared to take the job?" "As long as I get paid and that payment doesn't change." she felt like she had met him before. There was something about him that seemed familiar to her. "It won't, half now half when the job is done?" "Depends on the job, I don't really have a desire to get killed. If you take my meaning." He gave a soft chuckle but it sent shivers down her spine. "Fair enough, I can assure you that if you use all of your skill as a thief you won't get a scratch on you." "Oh?" "You have quite the reputation Miss Mouse," he paused and thumped a small bag on coins onto the table. "I hope it stands s more in the light of truth than in the darkness of exaggeration." Nissa simply raised an eyebrow. he got to his feet and walked behind her then rested his hands on her shoulders. He leaned in close so that his lips were at her ear. "Don't disappoint me. You'll get much more than a scratch if you do." he put a piece of paper in front of her. "Meet me here in one weeks time. The job had better be done. Or I'll have fun." he kissed her cheek then swept away toward the door disappearing in the busy street beyond. Nissa concealed a shiver and looked at the paper in front of her but didn't touch it. Though she did place a protective hand over her money.
