"Ok then." Emily brought Spirit to a walk, and turned her towards a hunting path. "Stay behind me, but not so close that you spook Spirit. These paths are skinny, so be careful!"

Ryills and Frank followed Emily down the hunting path, making sure to keep a good distance between them. "I wonder where they are going.." She muttered to herself, looking at Emily.
She looked around her, how much nature can hide, even tho they didn't go far yet, she already felt asleep in the forest.

Emily scanned the trees, a little paranoid now that they'd come this far into the forest. She shrugged off the feeling, and smiled. "Let's surprise them, Spirit!" She muttered. Her horse flicked her ears in understanding.
Unknown to Emily, sitting in the tree line was a group of bandits. They were standing as still as they could, and staying silent. One smiled. This was going to be fun!

Ryill was enjoying the ride, calling out to Emily she said, "where does this path lead? It's a very beautiful ride!" She said grinning. Closing her eyes she sighed deeply.
Unlike rangers, she didn't have the trained eye or skills, her skills were in talking and discussions, convincing others and keeping peace. She had no idea about the bandits that hiding.

"Some where!" Emily called back. "Just enjoy the-" She grunted as she hit the ground a bandit on top of her, smiling. She kicked him off of her and yelled at Ryills: "Go!"

Ryills screamed in shock as Emily got tackled off her horse. frank unfortunetly took that time to bolt and flee, he reared up on his hind legs and Ryills hit the ground with a thud, she landed painfully on her arm, hearing Emily cry "go!" She pushed her self up with her good arm, pain seeing threw her side and took off running, back down the trail, tears streaming down her face, "oh my," she gasped, "Emily! I can't leave her. But I'm in no condition to fight, I can't fight." She said sobbing to herself.
Unfortunetly she she didn't get really far before she was cut off, she stopped and raised her hands in the air, "please... Sirs." She said pleading and half sobbing as she fell to her knees, "I-I-I.." She bent over , having no words to say , what was she supposed to do? She is not a fighter!

A bandit looked at Ryills. "Do we need her?" Another, obviously the leader, glanced at her. "No, just the Ranger." Emily glared at him and pulled out a knife. "Ryills, I want you to run to Redmont and get help. Now!"Emily launched herself at the bandits, hoping taking their attention from the apprentice. "Go!"

Ooc: who shall rescue Emily? Just curious, and shall I play them or you?
Ryills looked down, and half laughed in relief, it was short lived as Emily snapped her out, "Ryills. Go to Redmont and get help. NOW!" Against her will, Ryills found herself blindly running threw the forest back to Redmont, branches whipped at her face and she stumbled, but still managed to stay on her feet.
"HELP!! Please!!!" She said half screaming, half sobbing as she ran down the path, "somebody!" The young apprentice gasped, she saw the walls of Redmont in the distance.

(Ooc: in the shout board I wrote a suggestion)
Emily smiled as she saw the apprentice run away. She dodged a sword thrust, but didn't move quick enough to escape the hit that sent her into a tree. She fell on the ground, dazed, and groaning slightly. She felt herself being lifted up and put over one on the bandits shoulders.

"Grab the horse!" Said Jagel to his companion and pointed the the chestnut horse, "we tie her up and bring her with us" He turned his attention to the Ranger's horse, "your a sight for sore eyes" he said as he walked over, "you'll be my new horse." (You gotta love rangers horses and the secret pass code), he mounted up and was about to say "let's go men" when he found himself flying through the air and landing on his back.
Ryills found herself through the gates and into the arms of a guard accompanied by knights, "my lady what happened?" Ryills collapsed , "Ambushed, Ranger Emily. Me. She needs help! Lady Pauline! Get lady Pauline!" She said, gasping out words, "forest, hunting trail out side lors Barney."
She pulled herself up, and saw lady Pauline running up, "Ryills, clam down." She said looking Ryills in The eyes. Ryills shook her head, her heart was pounding and pain seared in her side, "Ryills, listen to me, tell is what happened?" Lady Pauline said, concern flashing in her voice.
Ryills gasped and tried regulating her breathing, "it was a erron, Emily was escorting me, we headed back from lord Barney, went for a quick ride, Emily got knocked off her horse and frank freaked out! Emily told me to run and get help." Ryills was close to sobbing again, "Emily needs help! Now!" "Ryills, where did this happen." "hunting trail running near Lord Barneys castle" Ryills said, forcing herself to think, "they let me go, but not Emily!" Ryills sobbed again, "I ran like a cowered I am." She said collapsing into a fit of tears, ashamed of herself, she left Emily behind.. She didn't even pick up a knife or sword! She was oblivious to around her but felt her self being walked away, she tired shouting that Emily is in trouble, but no words came." Emily"... She whispered
Lady Pauline quickly gave orders and a couple of knights led by the gallant Baron (insert name here) rode out to Emily's location.

Emily's head and back were sore. She blinked open her eyes and cringed. The forest around her seemed to blur in and out of focus and she groaned. "She's awake!" One of the bandits said.
Baron Arald arrived at the ambush site and sighed. There was no one there. "Go look for her." He ordered.

ooc: we should bring in Will Treaty or Halt or those guys... just an idea!
ic:
The bandit that go thrown from the horse, looked over at her companions, "So what are we gonna do with the Ranger again?" he said nervously, he had heard about them Rangers, he didn't want to mess with them, "I don't wanna get cursed by them." he thought they did magic by the way the end up everywhere and can disapear with a single touch.
Lady Pauline took Ryills up to her office and made her to sit down, making her a cup of tea, she the calmed down Ryills, poor girl was in shock. A physican came up and tended to Ryills, "So will she be ok?" Pauline asked the physican after he was finished patching up Ryills, "The young girl should be fine, she just sprained her wrist and her a few cracked ribs, she will be sore, but fine." Looking at Ryills he told her, "No riding and take it easy the next few weeks."
Pauline showed him to the door and closed it behind her, "Baron Arald and a few of Redmond knights are going out after Emily, I"m sure she will be fine, Emily is a good Ranger," she said offering words of comfort to Ryills, Ryills shook her head, "I did nothing, ma'am. Nothing at all. She told me to run and I did, but they stopped me, I didn't even try to defend myself or Emily.." she said sadly, "I just gave up." tears fell down her face, "Im such a faliure..I"m a cowered." and with that, Ryills collapsed into a fit of tears.
Three knights who was accompanying the Baron halted behind him, "Yes sir." said one of the knights and he and his companion split up along the trail, the third dismounted and looked down at the trail, searching for clues, "Baron." he said noticing scruff marks and prints leading off down a side trial, "This way it looks like." he yelled back to the otherr two knights and all of them set off down the trail.

"Hold her, of course. We need the money." The leader said, smiling. Emily groaned loudly, her head pounding and her back killing her. "Shut her up!" The leader snapped.
The Baron looked around. "Where's Halt when you need him?"

Sir Katrina de Montgomery, a knight from Norgate Fief, just happened to have arrived in Redmont's courtyard minutes before Ryills stumbled through the gates out of breath and in pain with a tale of being ambushed by bandits. She was visiting with a message from the Norgate Battlemaster to Redmont's Battlemaster, one of a delicate military nature that they didn't want to risk to the normal channels of communication, however good they may be.
She glanced at her travelling companion and fellow warrior, Skylar Westington, who had been assigned to accompany her and protect her on the important mission. They were already in the courtyard and had just dismounted so they could instantly head out and rescue the ranger before they lost the trail - depending on how long it had taken the courier apprentice to get back to the castle. "Shall we?" Katrina asked Skylar.
Baron Arald and Sir Rodney had just arrived from the castle to greet Katrina and Skylar and they called for horses. Immediately the group set out back up the trail to rescue Ranger Emily. When they arrived at the spot Ryills had indicated, there was no sign of the bandits or the ranger, but clear signs in the dirt of a struggle.
"Go look for her." Baron Arald ordered.
Three knights who were accompanying the Baron halted behind him, "Yes sir." said Sir Rodney and he and Skylar split up along the trail,
The Baron looked around. "Where's Halt when you need him?"
Katrina dismounted and studied the ground, stepping carefully. She tried to sort out the battlesite and saw where Emily had landed after being knocked off her horse. There was a ranger throwing knife trampled into the dirt and Katrina retrieved it. Fresh hoofprints and booted footprints littered the ground in a jumble. It appeared as if Emily had been carried off either on foot or by horseback for there were no signs of her footprints leaving the area. Finally Katrina saw where the trail broke off and headed for the woods.
"Baron." she said noticing scruff marks and prints leading off down a side trial, "This way it looks like." she yelled back to the other two knights and all of them set off down the trail.
Katrina led them at a rather slow pace, trying not to loose the tracks in the moss covered ground scattered with large rocky areas between the widely spaced trees. "Keep your eyes peeled, especially in the trees up ahead," Katrina advised to them all. "If they jumped out of trees once, they might try that tactic again, especially since it seemed to have worked for them this last time."
She had her crossbow loaded, but kept it pointed to the ground for now. The silver unicorn embossed on her black plate mail on her chest reflected flashes of sunlight filtering through the overhead foliage onto the ground around her. "I wish I wasn't in this fancy court armor," she muttered under her breath to no one in particular. 'At least I don't have that stuffy helm on,' she thought gratefully. She was used to her worn-looking field armor and felt naked without it. She was arguably well-protected in the plate mail, but it didn't move with her and she felt awkward and stiff in it. She hadn't been expecting to get into a fight within site of Redmont Castle when she'd donned the court armor a half hour ago so she would look decent to greet the Baron. There was no help for it now.

Even though it had been a couple of days Skylar was still in awe of Sir Katrina, she had heard of her right enough but never dreamed she would actually get to meet her. And then she had been assigned to journey with her! She wondered why, what was so special about her? Couldn't anyone else have done? Of course it wasn't to say that she was complaining at all she was just a little curious as to why she had been chosen and no someone more senior than her. "Duty calls." she replied to Sir Katrina and easily swung herself back into the saddle. She remembered Ranger Emily from a little while ago. She had helped the ranger bring a fugitive to justice. They had been attacked by bandits then to, Bandits were like little pests you just couldn't seem to get rid of. And she swore they got smarter every year.
Three knights who were accompanying the Baron halted behind him, "Yes sir." said Sir Rodney and he and Skylar split up along the trail
She trotted Lucky up the trail keeping her eyes and ears open, she pulled out her sword ready for the event of an attack, she didn't want to waste precious time drawing it. Sir Rodney glanced back and gave the young girl a nod of approval. He didn't know her name, he would ask later. "You any good at tracking?" he asked her. "I'm afraid not sir." "I'm not all that great either, but if I were to hazard a guess I would say that no one has come this way. The ground doesn't look disturbed at all." "I would agree sir, there it also the trees." Hew raised an eyebrow at her as he twisted in the saddle. "The trees?" She gestured to them. "There isn't much cover between them sir and they trunks are thick enough to hide two or even one man behind them." He looked at the trees and nodded. "You are right lets keep going just a little bit further then turn back just in case the Bandits are clever enough to hide themselves even here where it seems that they couldn't." "Of course Sir."
"Baron." she said noticing scruff marks and prints leading off down a side trial, "This way it looks like." she yelled back to the other two knights and all of them set off down the trail.
"Well it looks like they found something lets go." The stopped their horses in the current direction they were going and carefully turned them around, Sir Rodney went first with Skylar following, her heart was beating a little fast and she could feel adrenaline starting to course through her veins. She was a little nervous that they would be ambushed and badly outnumbered but she would do her duty to fight to the death if need be. She just hoped that they were successful in rescuing Emily.
